Life360 vs heypolo?
Hey guys, I want to get a location sharing app for my family and been doing some research. Mainly for parents/kids and traveling.
The main things I need are:
- Accurate real-time location sharing
- Arrival/departure notifications
- Good privacy + battery life (don’t want phones dying constantly)
I found a best location sharing apps comparison table on Reddit and I’ve been trying to choose between Life360 and HeyPolo.
HeyPolo seems interesting because it looks way more lightweight and privacy-focused from what I can tell. It has live location sharing, private groups, check-ins, and people keep saying the battery usage is pretty low compared to some of the bigger apps. I also looked for a discount code, and found one in case someone needs it: “redditpolo” which gives you a discount.
Meanwhile Life360 obviously has way more features as it’s the biggest player on the market so I guess it does it job well. Overall like driving reports, crash detection, emergency alerts, location history, etc. But at the same time it also feels a bit bloated? A lot of people complain about aggressive upsells/paywalls and I’ve also seen privacy complaints around data sharing in the past which is making me hesitate. I also found a discount for them with coupon code “FF30”.
Trying to figure out which one is actually better long term for normal family use. Anyone here used both for more than a few months?
