I recently bought my first car 2 months ago. I got a 2007 Lexus ES 350 and I love it! It’s got 234K miles, but it was only $2,500 and it was in absolute perfect condition. It had 1 owner for its whole life who maintained it perfectly (aside from some wear and tear on the seats)
I loved it so much that I was looking to save up, build my credit and upgrade to a newer model when I hit 300K miles. I went on their website and looked at their inventory and my god, their newer models are so ugly! They discontinued the ES 350 which was their best looking car, in my opinion. They’re going hybrid with electric which I don’t like. And the interior of their new sedans are just so…. Bland.
Lexus really doesn’t seem like THE brand to buy like it was when I was growing up in the 2000’s.
I was sitting at a stop sign waiting to make a left turn. Traffic cleared and it was safe for me to turn. Then, as I was about to turn, a woman pulled up at the exit of a business (without her blinker on). I was at the stop sign well before she pulled up, so I go to make the left turn and she goes and makes a right turn without her blinker on and then she just suddenly stops! I didn’t want to hit her, so I changed direction and just drove into the entrance of the business. I was flustered, so then I turned around to make a right turn, and I completely missed this guy in my blind spot and I cut him off. He was slamming his horn at me too!
Somebody leaving a business parking lot has to yield to oncoming traffic, right? Or am I dumb?
If you’re going to cut somebody off, why would you just suddenly stop!?!?!?
I feel so embarrassed for cutting somebody off, and I feel like an a-hole for it as well, as I really try my best to be a safe and defensive driver.
As a relatively new driver, I just really feel like an idiot and I wish I could apologize to the guy in my blind spot 😮💨
