I went white water rafting last summer with a couple of dirtbags and fell in love. That was on the East Coast, on the Hudson River. I'm now based out of Northern California (Quincy) and don't have any connections yet. I'd love to be a guide part-time. I'm curious how to get started. Should I get certified via a course? It seems like some companies are willing to hire newbs and train them. Is that a better route? Any advice for getting into guiding would be really appreciated. Please be nice, I'm new.
