This is over 3 months old. It’s incredibly itchy all the time. Anti-itching cream barely helps it. I put Neosporin and aquaphor on it often to see if it will help but neither really do anything. I have a bad habit of scratching around the area until it’s red, but I never ever scratch the scar itself. I have some second skin from when it was still healing and I decided to put Neosporin on it and then put that on it to see if it would help. I knew that at the very least it would keep me from scratching it. The first pic is before the second skin (had Neosporin on already, that’s why it’s like shiny) and the second is out of the shower after taking it off. Second skin was on for around 2-3 days. It just looked really weird out of the shower so I got worried. It doesn’t show up as well in that picture but it’s like lighter, close to white in the middle and red and bumpy on the corners. And it’s still bumpy and like inflamed almost around the scar like in the first picture.
Is there something wrong with it for it to look like that? Or do I just need to really really leave it alone? The itchiness is agonizing but the second skin helped.
