I’m planning to build a new skateboard around an 8.25” deck. I already have a cruiser board, so this new setup would mostly be for learning tricks, but I’ll also be taking it to college and might use it to ride to class occasionally.
Right now i’m learning to ollie, but I’m not doing anything crazy yet. I want a setup that will let me keep learning tricks without being awful to ride around campus for short distances.
I’m trying to figure out what parts would make the most sense:
Trucks for an 8.25” deck
Wheel size and hardness
Whether I should go with harder trick wheels like 99a, or something more hybrid like 92a–97a
Good bearings/hardware/grip recommendations
