Application in 'Hiring manager reviewing' state without interview

I applied for a language role this morning and immediately received an email saying I need to take an interview to complete my application. I stepped out of the house and came back 20 minutes later to find another email titled 'Great work on your interview' telling me my application is now being reviewed by the hiring manager. The dashboard is also showing the 'Hiring manager reviewing' status...although I hadn't taken the interview.
Could it be because I applied for a similar role (a language specialist role) several months ago and took an interview then? (I didn't get the role in the end)
Interestingly, this morning I had received an email from someone whose email address has the 'micro1.io' domain urging me to apply for this role and mentioning they are 'moving quickly to fill these roles'. I wasn't sure if it was legit, so instead of using the link in the email, I went and found the role directly on the micro1 website.
Should I just see what happens? Or should I still take the interview?

Non-native English speaker working as a Generalist Expert

I received an instant job offer to work as as a Generalist Expert last weekend and have been onboarded on to the project (the massive one everyone is talking about).
I initially applied for a language specialist position related to my native language many months ago. I never heard back about this job and completely forgot about Mercer so I was surprised to receive an instant offer out of the blue.
I am currently waiting for the Quiz to become available for me, but apparently there is a delay due to a massive backlog. What I would love to know in the mean time is, if there are any other people who speak English as a second language on this project, and what their experiences are. I would say that my English is decent (I've been living in English speaking countries for the last 28 years) but it is my second language, and I am a little bit worried that I might not do so well with my future projects (if I am successful with the Quiz, that is) due to my English writing being not perfect. Do the reviewers flag minor grammatical mistakes?
