I’m honestly confused why I can’t get approved for the Venture X.
I applied back in 2025 and got declined. Recently I tried the pre-approval tool again and still didn’t get an offer.
What’s confusing is that I have excellent credit, a high income (over $250k), and already have premium cards with Chase and American Express. My credit profile is pretty strong overall, so I’m trying to understand what Capital One is looking for.
Does Capital One just have really specific approval criteria for Venture X? Has anyone else with strong credit/income been denied or not pre-approved?
