My wife and I are new to Baltimore. Our apartment has a view of the Belvedere, and out of the blue wondered if something she vaguely remembered from Unsolved Mysteries took place in Baltimore. Yes it did, and yes it was at the Belvedere. This was around 5:30 or so. She has sensitivity to things I don’t understand, so I wonder if this was the same time of day when he fell through the roof 20 years ago today.

Seems like a tragic story with no answer, at least for those of us like me who are limited to the traditional 5 senses. I would love to hear about your experience hearing about it at the time, or about amy theories about what happened. (I’m pretty sure there was a helicopter involved.)

There was a home improvement store billboard all over the place when I lived in Chicago. It had an illustrated guy holding an extended measuring tape, and it always made me laugh because it looked like he was measuring something personal. What was the store? Even better, is there a picture of it somewhere online?
