AITA for being on a videocall with my friends while I was in the shower?
English is not my first language, so forgive me for any mistakes. I (26 F) have a boyfriend (27 M) who is considerably jealous, but usually doesn’t demonstrate (just for context). Last week I decided to dye my hair by myself, so I bought everything I needed, and told by 3 closest friends, all girls my age, one of them who has experience dyeing her hair. We all live in different cities, so I suggested that we hop on a videocall while I dye my hair, so we could spend the time together (it took almost 3 hours, I was doing it for the first time with bleach and I just wanted company). My boyfriend knew I was dyeing my hair, also I mentioned that I was with my friends on call, but I don't remember telling him it was a videocall.
, last night I decided to do the thing, then got on a private call with my girls and went to the bathroom. The process required me to wash my hair at some point, so I went in with my gym top and a Bikini shorts, I wasn’t naked at all. Also, my door was open so my cats could walk in-and-out of the bathroom, and my mom was home. At some point me and my friends made a joke that I was eating my hair, because I took some chopsticks to stir the bleach, and I asked my friend to take a funny screenshot of me pretending to eat my hair in the shower. I washed my hair, then dyed it, then finalized it and everything went well, until today.
I got in a call with my boyfriend after our work, and I was talking about last night, and then showed him the funny screenshot of me eating my hair with chopsticks. He got mad at me. He first asked why was I on a videocall in the shower with my friends. When I explained, he just said that it was wrong of me, even if I was dressed. I tried to argue with him briefly that it had nothing horny going on, I just washed my hair, I wasn’t naked, my door was open and My mom was home (even my friend’s mom was on the videocall at some point).
He said I crossed the limits and he didn’t like it at all. So, at the time I just told him I had nothing to say, because I wasn’t really understanding why he was mad at me. We stood in silence for a while, then he told me “If it's going to be like this, I’m leaving to watch something” and left the call.
So
I just need to know if I’m in the wrong here, so, am I the Asshole?
