I saw a video from @manugames92 on YouTube and the YouTuber showed that the curator doll explains that the “reborn” tend to die and reincarnation and happens over and over again.
The theory is that The Actors that are usually in the poster are the sole survivors and the ending where they are the sole survivors is canon and the ones that died reincarnation and suffer a similar fate like Andrew’s theory in little hope about the same faces in the witch trials and turned into demons. Which could be the reason why the models get reused but even though it was to make a “American horror story” vibe, confirmed by a dev.
In the comments (by @ArmyRabbitStudios) however, The Curator needs you to stop the pathway so it won’t happen, making any ending canon.
