[Spoilers, potentially] Looking for more Directive 8020 memes and reaction images

(Hope it's alright that I post this!)

Anyone know of a good place to look, if there's already a collection somewhere? generic searches don't seem to turn up anything and I don't think there's a post here anywhere where people have collected anything. But I have seen a few here and there that I've saved!

Oh, and feel free to share any you have/like in the comments!! funny screenshots or screencaps that could be used as memes work too, I'm looking for goofy pictures, silly faces, incorrect quote memes, etc.! 🥰

I have already beaten and 100%'d the game, spoilers are a non-issue for me! (but do be aware if they are for you, if people share anything it could contain spoilers)

Mitchell’s Unwavering Loyalty

The biometric scanner scene is a poignant moment for Mitchell. From what I’ve gathered, he’s pretty much an orphan (by circumstance or design - who never talks about his biological family other than his aspirations to have one of his own one day, and how Stafford and Young are his chosen family), who looks up to Stafford as a father figure. So it’s especially devastating to be ordered at gunpoint through the scanner. Out of all the crew members - before the reveal - he’s the only one who isn’t afraid of Stafford, just hurt and disillusioned. Tears brim in his eyes as he’s scanned. As a writer, it’s details like this that make characters memorable.

So i finished the 1st directive 8020 play-through and one question has been on my mind all along the story

What's the point of sending ships over and over for Tau Ceti F to study an organism that makes a clone of you, when you already have a stable clone technology on earth?

You already assemble a team of clones no problem, why do you need to waste so many billions on the same technology?

Don't get me wrong, I loved the game, it's inspired a lot by the expanse, which is my favorite sci-fi TV show, I really loved the mag boots nod, the belt stations mention, etc. I also loved how simplified is the story tree compared to 1st season, I also loved the improved graphics. It's just that the story lack a real motive behind it. It could have been better if they just expanded on the story of the monsters on the house of ashes, them being from the constellation cetus as well instead of this new clone organism.

but maybe i missed something regarding the organism and cloning, i'm open to your thoughts on it.

To me, the biggest problem about Directive 8020 is how the main threat was barely utilised in the actual game

All of the marketing focused on how the Alien glorp could mimic anyone and how you couldn’t trust anybody, yet this feature is barely present in the game.

The crew only ever finds out that the alien can mimic people in Episode 6 out of 8. The first episodes are spent chasing the Simms mimic, which we already know is evil, and after episode 7 (with the choice of bringing back either the real or fake Anders), the whole “trust nobody” concept is never brought up again.

The developers spent way too much time with the aliens in their hunter form in my opinion. This game could’ve been like The Thing in space, but it’s instead mostly a stealth simulator.

I’m really annoyed by a potential death in Directive 80/20

I chose for Stafford to not trust Anders, and that randomly leads to >! williams !> death in a later chapter? I just don’t understand or get it. I would have at least liked some type of dialogue where I could convince him to let Anders through somehow? I just don’t like how direct the consequences are. How are we supposed to know that a random dialogue choice we made in a early chapter would lead to a death? Smh

Im early on in re play of 8020 because my first was boring. What is some interesting character paths to keep the game interesting without to many spoilers?

So far Ive mad .Carter a man who is kind and cautious, deeply carrying for his family especially his sister. But some times to the point it cloud his intellect.Simms is Caring, looks for the bright side and loves teasing her brother. But can be a bit insensitive at times.

Directive 8020, should I get it now?

I’m a bit on the fence about getting the game now or waiting. I love the dark picture anthology, yes, even the quarry I loved. And I’ve been excited about this one cause I loveeeee space games, but I’m a bit on the fence considering the price. Is it worth it? Any tips or options out there that might sway me in any direction about this?

I'm surprised it's not talked about enough, but I find the graphics in D8020 incredibly cinematic.

I was so amazed by the quality of the graphics.

There are so many shots that look like they'd be shown in a movie theater.

This game may be open to criticism, but one thing is certain (in my opinion): D8020 was clearly one of the best games in the franchise, perhaps even one of the best Supermassive games ever produced.

Which game in the Dark Pictures series has the "best" prologue in your opinion? 🤔

They all have something that's enjoyable, but I feel like I give the edge to Little Hope since I love the whole family dynamic especially with >!Megan and how she seems "evil" in the beginning to mess with the player although I still tried to save her anyway since I thought something bad would happen if I didn't attempt to rescue her!< 😂💯

Also, I have to include the >!house fire scene !<since that is the most intense prologue moment that I remember playing in a Dark Pictures game and the music that plays in that scene is absolutely perfect as well 😎🔥

I will also say that >!Anthony being the only survivor throughout the series that survives the prologue!< is really impressive since >!every character previously and afterwards all die in the prologues!< 👀

>!We're Anthony when we play as "Andrew", so it's awesome to have a character who plays in the prologue and the actual story!< 🤯
