RE8 Might Be The Reason RE3R Had Removed Locations

For context:

RE8 production started around 2016 before RE7 came out.

RE3 production started around 2017.

Yes, RE4R and RE8 have similar locations, but that was only after RE4R’s production was restarted because of RE3R’s reception.

. . . . . . .

Image 1: Clock Tower - Dimitrescu Castle

Image 2: Raccoon Park - Reservoir

Image 3: Dead Factory - Heisenberg’s Factory

. . . . . . .

What could have happened:

The creators of RE8 took inspiration from RE3 OG’s level designs. RE3R then had to compromise to make locations between the games less repetitive, since one comes out after the other.

. . . . . . .

Just something I thought of after playing RE3 OG and RE8 back to back.

I Might’ve Figured Out the TRUE VILLAIN for Until Dawn 2

Content

  1. The Quarry vs. Until Dawn 2
  2. Other Villain Theories on the Sub
  3. THE VILLAIN

. . . . . . . . . .

The Quarry vs. Until Dawn 2

According to the Playstation blog of Until Dawn 2, there will be a >!baby boar scene!< in the game. Sounds familiar? >!Abigail and Nick's scene featured a baby boar.!< There’s more.

I was able to reach out to two leakers (both leakers were accurate based on the trailer) and they both provided this one hint: >!The ghost suffered a great loss. Her son.!< Does it ring any bells yet? >!Eliza and her son, Silas.!<

There was an interview years ago about the fallout between Sony and Supermassive, and one employee revealed that The Quarry was Until Dawn 2 at some point. It is possible that Until Dawn 2’s story is the fully realized version, and there will be parallel story beats in them.

I’ll come back to this on ”THE VILLAIN” section.

. . . . . . . . . .

Other Villain Theories on the Sub.

  1. Sam is the Killer

I don’t believe Sam is the machete-wielding person. But if the “parallel story beats” were true, Sam could be like Laura instead. She would appear midway through the game. Let’s talk about her mark later.

. . .

  1. Sebastian’s Partner / Jorogumo / Succubus

The woman on the trailer does fit the description of a Jorogumo. The shot of the golden orb-weaver spider is the biggest clue. We might've found the villain already… but wait! Don’t go yet.

. . .

  1. The Trio on the Polaroid

According to the Playstation article, it states “Join a team of ambitious ghost hunters as they chase their next viral hit on a remote island haunted by a woman's chilling story of demons and ghostly phenomena.” Bet they are the people who reached out to the ghost hunters. Notice how their outfit and machete were used by the masked guy?

Now, let’s connect these dots together.

. . . . . . . . .

THE VILLAIN

In Japanese culture, intense emotions can cause transformation, From human to demons, animalistic creatures.

When reading the official blogs, you’ll notice the emphasis on situations with intense emotional tolls: Cheating, group scandals, grief, pushing people to their breaking point for content.

This might be the curse of the island. This is due to a ghost/spirit (Just like Eliza's ghost, but with more effect on the story.)

. . .

Let’s connect the Quarry vs. Until Dawn 2 topic; we talked about them having similar story beats, correct?

What if I tell you that Until Dawn 2 will have the same villain gimmick? Where every playable character could turn into monsters when stressed due to your choices.

Have you noticed their outfits? Tattoos? Jewelries? Those are their transformation motifs! Sebastian’s partner has a lot of golden jewelries, exactly like a golden orb-weaver spider with the golden stripe pattern. A jorogumo. 0_0

Ginger girl‘s moon tattoo, Sebastian’s tiger's, Luke’s flower snake shirt, Josie’s butterfly shorts, Dacre’s snake tattoo, etc. Check them out! They are their transformation motifs!

And do you remember the song playing in the trailer? “This is how villains are made.” It’s repeating over and over while emotional scenes are happening: Dacre’s nosebleeding, the red bedroom, and the Luke-Josie chase sequence. Possibly the biggest hint to the curse.

. . .

Now, how do they transform? Dacre Montgomery‘s scene might be the biggest clue. He’s laying down, nose bleeding. Perhaps he’s suffering from intense grief because Nate died. The ghost would then possess and transform him into a demon/monster.

. . .

How about Sam? It’s possible she’s gonna be the Laura, and her transformation would be the Wendigo. That scar, it’s going to be her motif.

. . .

The trio on the polaroid are gonna be the Hacketts equivalent. My theory is they’re trying to capture the ghost. Now, why would they call ghost hunters? Exactly. They don’t know that these people are fake ghost hunters.

. . . . . . . . .

Thanks for coming to my TedTalk. I hope you enjoyed this theory.

Until Dawn 2 Is In Good Hands (List of Employees I Found)

I spent too much time on LinkedIn, obsessing over who's making Until Dawn 2. Here's what I found:

These are former Supermassive Games employees who started working at Firesprite between 2021 - present. (Until Dawn 2 development started around 2021.)

  1. RO - Branching narrative specialist for Supermassive/Until Dawn.
  2. TC - Pre-production for the Quarry.
  3. AE- Cinematic Designer for the Quarry.
  4. AD - Writer for LH, HOA, TDIM, D8020.
  5. CA - Programmer for UD
  6. JA - Level designer for UD
  7. RP - Branching narrative specialist for UD
  8. SP - Lead technical artist for UD, Inpatient
  9. CA - Artist for UD, MOM. Lead for LH, HOA, TDIM
  10. AG - Audio designer for Inpatient, MOM, LH, HOA
  11. PB - Lead lighting artist for Inpatient, MOM, LH, HOA
  12. AE - Narrative designer for LH, HOA, TDIM, D8020, Switchback, TCOFS
  13. AF - Environment artist for Inpatient, MOM, LH, HOA, TDIM
  14. TC - Designer for HOA. Director of Photography for the Quarry
  15. AT - Cinematic Designer for the Quarry

Here are other employees not employed at Supermassive Games:

  1. IK - Uncharted 3-4, The Last of Us I, God of War
  2. AR - Beyond: Two Souls, Until Dawn, Bloodborne, Horizon
  3. KM - The Last of Us Part II
  4. ZS - The Last of Us Part II
  5. PE - The Last of Us Part II

Here are more employees based on leaks:

  1. GM - Lead cutscene animator for multiple GTA titles. Animation director on Red Dead Redemption, LA Noire, and Max Payne 3.
  2. PS - Writer for Dispatch, Telltale games (The Walking Dead, Batman, Wolf Among Us,) and Tales from the Borderlands.
  3. MS - Technical project manager for multiple films such as Venom, Infinity War, Thor Ragnarok, Fantastic Beasts, BvS, Mission Impossible: Fallout, and Blade Runner.

And I might be grasping at straws here, but Will Byles could be involved with Until Dawn 2. Or at least, he was aware that it was being made. Maybe just a blessing, or he's just acknowledging it.

TLDR: The people who worked on Until Dawn is a blend of different gaming and movie companies.

My only gripe with the trailer is the daylight lighting. It's too gray. But it's easy to fix.

Is Will Byles (Until Dawn Director) involved in Until Dawn 2?

Or he just knew that it was in the making. I have no clue.

Maybe they consulted him. All we know is he left Supermassive Games a long time ago, and some of the original Until Dawn team came back to help make the game.

Fixed the trailer's gray colorgrading (reupload)

Had to reupload because Reddit tinted the upper video super red, and everyone looked sunburnt.

I tried to fix the gray dull lighting commonly caused by the game engine. Hopefully they do something about that. It affects the color of the shadows.

The upper video is the new version, the lower video is the original.

What if all these accidents were caused by intense manifestations?

Manifestation is getting more widespread around the internet; it's about how we, as humans, manifest everyday, either intentionally or unintentionally. It had a lot of correlations with how some of the characters in FD universe operate, specifically, the visionaries.

Manifestation works like this: Think first, then feel/react to the thought, then detach.

But since these people have very intense feelings or reactions, that they skip the Detachment part altogether, and jump to a quantum reality where their thoughts are the truth. The airplane, highway, roller coaster, train, race, cinema, bridge, and the tower. They all happen under the weirdest/most convoluted circumstances.

-

The characters overthink and unintentionally overfixate on certain details. Like Iris, who left the house thinking she'll get impaled by the weathervane. Stefani "guessing" how her cousin would get attacked by Death, or Bobby who's overfixated on the loose coil of the vending machine.

In FD2, the man with hooks meant nothing until Rory and his pals manifested it to "cause" Nora's death. When Bryan's mother said Bryan was saved by Rory, Kim and Burke glanced at Bryan, as if they're expecting something to happen to him. The pigeon "premonition" weren't there at all. Kimberly was just sleep-deprived (LOL. And Alex also with the bus and the train on the window.)

In FD3. What if the pictures were just pictures? And it was Wendy who's manifesting their cause of death? She saw the twins' photo and assumed it's fire. Or Frankie on the Wacky Ladder looks like he's driving. Erin and the gun, Julie and the horse, Wendy and McKinley. What if the photos were supposed to mean nothing?

I'm not saying Death is inactive anymore. It's just that he's not as active as we thought he was.

-

Now FD4, I don't know how to fit FD4 here.

This is all just for fun. It's 4AM and I wanted to write something. Thanks for stopping by.
