Heartworm false positive two years in a row?

My 11 year old mini schnauzer was tested for heat worm last year with a SNAP test and it came back positive. We did a lab test for baby and adult worms and it came back negative for both.

He was tested again this year with the SNAP test and it came back positive again so we repeated the two lab tests and they were negative. We also went the extra step to do the heated blood test for both baby and adult worms which was also negative.

Our vet confirmed that this is really bizarre, especially to have it two years in a row. He doesn’t know what is causing it but is going to research more. I wonder if he could have some other antibody, or parasite that would make the SNAP test positive. Has anyone else had this with their dog or have any vets seen this before?

Best adventure pets?

I know that dogs and cats are usually the best companion for outdoor adventures or even just walking around town but I am curious if anyone has another animal that loves adventures. Recently I saw a pair of rats that love to go to stores in their humans jacket hood!
