# Desperate Help needed! One - way Car rental.

Hi all!

I am traveling with the family (wife and child 4 years old) to Vietnam on the 4th of September. Flying in to HCM. I am desperately looking for a car to rent to drive from HCM to Hanoi and for the life of me I cannot seem to find a one-way rental that will allow me to drop off in Hanoi. I have tried dichung, Avis, Hertz, Budget and all say that "there are no available cars" (there are when you set it to return to the same location).

Before you go off: This is my third time in Vietnam, I have spent months there riding a motorbike from the far North to the the far south. I know how to drive there, as well as many other SE Asian countries.

I am desperate and worried as I was stupidly confident I am going to find a car, and left it for kinda last minute and now it might ruin my plans.

Hey all,

Doing a massive refurbishment of the car and major upgrade on the geometry. I want to upgrade the brakes as well to the best for sporty road use. Always a breambo guy but last few years I am of the opinion that AP racing are better for the e46, but im not caught up and getting into reasearching breaks right now (hence this post as well). My mechanic who I trust says willwood.

Money not an issue within reason.

What do you guys think?

Hi everyone!

I am leaving with my family for Japan next week. I have rented a car and we are driving from tokyo to hokaido, all the way to cape soya, ans from there all way south to fukuoka (down to reigando cave).

We are not a luxury family (though money is not an issue) and we always seek nature, adventure and genuinely local experiences. Time is also no consern (within reason)

I've seen the conventional tips and advice on here while lurking but wanted some more specific tips from locals, expats or roadtripers. Anything from spots we shouldn't miss to tips that will make the trip richer, or easier etc.

Forgive me if I am asking alot.
