Was your home ever cleaned and then got messy again? Do you ever feel jealous of other hoards?

So…there was a time or two where things were actually clean or clean enough. But it got messy again because there was no action towards maintenance. But wow I felt so cool. lol

Anyway, sometimes I look at what some people have to deal with here and I’m like, “that’s all??? Please! I’d gladly trade. That’s easy!”

“So what do you like to do for fun?” “Declutter my hoard. :)”

Genuinely it’s my latest hobby (again). But it’s funny to me that I am basically chained to this until it’s gone. I don’t have time for other hobbies. I can’t. I will get distracted and maybe collect more stuff before I tackle what’s already here.

It’s just funny because someone did ask me what my hobbies are. I had to share what my actual hobbies are but it did feel like a lie because I’m not doing them anymore. But it is funny to imagine sharing that the hoard is so bad it has become a hobby for me and will be for quite some time.

What’s frustrating is the only thing making this easier is the drawer-carts I bought to help sort out what I own. And they’re all pretty much full now. A family member took a few to put their things into but I’m thinking about just dumping their shit out. I bought them. I can do what I want.

However…I’m kind of glad because those bins are keeping that family member’s stuff from getting in the way. Thinking about trying to map all of that out is already stressing me. So I’m not going to focus on that right now.

Right now, I’ll shift things into place where I can with the intention of throwing things out or donating.
