For context: these are a size 28. I am usually a 26-27, so I bought them bigger because I wanted an oversized fit. I am pretty slim in build (meaning I have absolutely no curves and no action going on from the back either). I followed all washing instructions as well. The Jean material literally melted?!!! This has never happened to me before, even with my cheaper jeans from h&m and hollister.
