Congratulations Cunchyroll Store for becoming what you were before purchasing RightStufAnime, just a boutique online presence with a small inventory of select items to sell. You tried to go big and in the end destroyed a business. Good for the owner for the retirement money, bad for the employees in the end.
And now with their recent actions on less Physical Media..... I have this question over and over again. When licensing a show, I think besides streaming and merchandise rights, Physical Media releases were also tied into the contract. They have been breaking that clause I guess for years, as so many back catalog has never seen seen the light of day released in DVD or Blu-Ray.
Before the RS acquisition, Discotek Media used to release several Crunchyroll titles under their wing. Can we have that again?
Or at least can they waive those Physical Media rights so Sentai or AnimEigo or Media Blasters can distribute them as a 3rd party/subsidiary? No Aniplex of America please.
