Super Deker vs Hockey Revolution tiles

So i know SD gets a lot of flak for kind of forcing you to look down... and ive also heard the balance board + wood ball argument.. but i have a 10 year old who is a good skater and just needs to build confidence with the puck. Hes played with both the deker and the tiles, and actually enjoys practicing (more with the SD because the app for the tiles is pretty trash).

Anyhow, I really want to get him something he can use. Of course, I dont want to build bad habits... but i feel like something like this could help.

What are your thoughts? Which one would you choose, or is there another tool out there worth looking at (something that makes training into a game)

10U Positioning Drills

Hey all,

Putting together a practice plan for my 10U team this weekend. It's our first practice of the year, and lots of kids are moving up from 8U - transitioning to full ice, and I'm looking for a good drill to show kids where to be on the ice when they don't have the puck.

I'm using IHS.. but I haven't really found anything good there. I created my own drill that kind of has a coach choose a side, and the strong side defender pinches while the weak side covers/prepares to trail and prevent breakout.. but it feels like its missing something.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Yveltal in Grimm

Been playing Grimm for quite a bit and I love the deck. I've had the Yveltal in there for a while and its gotten me a couple wins, but it feels underutilized.

Just looking for comments from other Grimm players on how they use Yveltal. Is it part of your normal strategy to clutch and let frosslass do its thing? Or are you simply using it as a last resort?

Workout recommendation for me and my son

Hey all,

I have a 15 year old son and recently he decided he wanted to start working out to get in shape. He's a little overweight, but I'd say closer to average build for his height.

Anyhow, hes on the spectrum, but really high functioning,. He's a completely normal kid, but if he gets too many "complex" instructions, he completely loses focus. That being said, hes great at following instructions.

We've been doing full body 3x per week. We're going together so I can show him how to workout and he can eventually learn to go on his own. I was using an app that gave a few workouts but it was getting difficult to track, so earlier this week, I decided to simplify the workout. 1 push, 1 pull, 1 leg, 1 core (3x12). Warmup and cool down on treadmill or bike. He seemed to enjoy it because of how straightforward it was, but it didn't seem like enough. Maybe its because im trying to remember how I used to workout when I was younger, being in the gym for hours. But it took us hardly any time to finish.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Maybe the simple push, pull, legs, core is fine which is entirely possible because im no expert. If so, what do you guys recommend for exercises to do? If anyone else has suggestions I would really appreciate it.

We are really looking for full body 3x per week.

Thanks!

Help understanding how to play this game

Hey all,

Been playing TCG for almost 10 years and jumping into pocket for the last few months. I've seen the decks that are meta on limitless, but my biggest issue is that I can't find a good way to get cards. Maybe I'm missing something, but you just open your packs and hope you get the cards you want?

It looks like you can buy the cards you want with pack points.. but I don't see any way to buy pack points, so I'm really struggling to get anything built that is even remotely competitive.

Any advice is appreciated
