Fan subs full of sexualized pictures
Sorry for such a strange post that has quite little to do with gaming. It’s still related, since fan subreddits for games and anime are full of fanart, and 90% of it is sexualized girl or woman characters.
Anyways. I’m pissed. I just wasted 3 hours trying to generate Tom of Finland styled (homoerotic without nudity) male character pictures for a couple different subreddits as a protest.
I’ve been told multiple times before that I can just ignore the fanart if it annoys me. I’ve also been told to create my own fanart and post it there. And this time I planned to do exactly that with one obvious shortcut. I wanted to create sexualized male pictures with the help of AI.
I really tried. Over and over again, with a dozen different AI picture generators, most of which asked me to sign up for their websites first. I used the free credits they gave me, and every single time it was against their policy and rules to either generate something sexualized (even without nudity) or generate pictures of characters from known intellectual property.
My perfect plan didn’t work out in the end. And now if I want to be petty, I guess I should draw these pictures myself. It would honestly be kind of funny if I became this homoerotic artist who draws pictures of things men don’t want to see. But I probably won’t do that. For now, I’ll just stay disappointed that almost every corner of the internet has this same male gaze.
