K-Salaam Interviews Legendary Jamaican Music Producer Clive Chin

Snippet from my interview w/ legendary Jamaican Music Producer Clive Chin. Clive Chin produced the first ever Dub record in history, making him a true pioneer of the art form.
Here he talks about his engineer and production partner Errol
"ET" Thompson, who invented the idea of bringing the echos and delays that the DJs and Sound Systems were doing out in the park, and putting them on a record, which became one of the main audio staples of Dub Music.
This video was shot by Julian Rodriguez, and the editing was done by Justin Lance.
(I'm going to post the full interview one day, but as for now I'm getting major copyright issues, being that we used music in the interview. Still working this out.)
Enjoy this piece of music history.

K-Salaam and Beatnick in Brazil

Throwback Thursday! I believe this was 2010ish, or sometime around then. This was not my first time or last time performing and/or recording in Brazil, but that Creator's Project Show that we did with Vice TV & Emicida was insane. There were art installations that went along with our music + we did a Music Prod. workshop. I have some dope pics from that as well. I'll post them up another time. Sucks I didn't get any footage of the Live Production routine that Beatnick & I did. All good though. I had a blast spinning in some of the biggest clubs in Brazil and doing my thing. I will be back soon.

K-Salaam Interviews Legendary Mixing Engineer Bob Power

All Audio heads, music production aficionados, and students of the craft; I was lucky enough to sit down w/ the goat - Bob Power before he passed. For those not in the loop, Bob Power engineered for the likes of: @atca, @wearedelasoul, @erykahbadu, @thedangelo, & many more. He is often considered the best Mixing Engineer in Hip-Hop, or at least one of the best (even though he was also a producer, amongst many other things). I got to know Bob as we both were teaching at @clivedavisinst when he was still with us. In this clip, he is dropping some game around the do's and don'ts of how much a Mixing Engineer should add to a record. More gems coming soon... Bob Power still lives on through the music that he touched and created.
