New chess content creator here, would love feedback on my short

Hey everyone,

I recently started making chess shorts and trying to improve my content little by little. I made this short based on a beautiful tactical sequence and would genuinely love feedback from stronger players and creators here.

Things I’d love suggestions on:

- Hook/introduction

- Editing pace

- Captions/music

- Puzzle difficulty

- Commentary style

- Anything that could make it more engaging

I’m still learning content creation, so even small suggestions would help a lot. Thanks!

Looking for ideas to make the streams more engaging🙌.. Thinking of organizing: ₹500 Or ₹1000 prize match

Hello,

I recently started chess streaming and I’m getting a this response so far.

Thinking of organizing: ₹500 Or ₹1000 prize match between 2 subscribers with similar ratings

• 4-game match live on stream( 2 rapid, 2 blitz)

• Both players on camera to prevent cheating and make it more interactive

Anything else to include and is this a good Stream Idea for a Small Chess Channel?

Any other suggestions are welcome.

Thank you.

Can I use Spotify NCS playlist music in YouTube Chess streams if I credit them in description?

Hey guys, I recently started Chess streaming on YouTube and was exploring adding non-copyrighted background music to my streams.

I noticed some streamers(pic added in this post) are playing NCS music through Spotify and adding the NCS link/credits in their stream description. I’m not very aware of how this works, so I wanted to ask:

- Can I also play NCS playlists from Spotify during my YouTube streams?

- Is adding the NCS URL in the description enough?

- Are there any copyright issues or extra rules I should know about?

Also, I tried searching on Spotify but couldn’t find an official NCS playlist easily. If anyone has the playlist link or knows the correct one, please share it. It would be really helpful.

Thanks!

Started a ₹100 Challenge && Lost ₹500 Instead 🫠

Started a “Beat Me and Win ₹100” chess challenge on stream today and ended up losing ₹500

I don’t know if it was live stream nerves or I am not used to play on PC, but I played some absolutely terrible chess. Meanwhile the viewers were cooking me 😭

The craziest part? Even a 1000 rated player managed to defeat me 🙂

All of them actually played really solid chess.

Still had fun and learned that playing on stream feels VERY different from playing normally.

I’ve newly started streaming chess on YT and would really appreciate support from fellow chess enthusiasts ❤️

If you're rated between 1000–1800, I’ll send you ₹100 if you beat me 🤝

My rating is around 1850 on Chess.com.

Only condition:

- Your account should be old/genuine and you are not cheating.

Why am I doing this?

I’m starting a YouTube channel to stream chess and looking for good chess players as subscribers. Planning to stream daily and improve together.

I’ve never studied openings or trained before. I first started playing chess at 22, and since then I’ve only played for fun. For about five years, I stayed around the 1800–1900 rating range and didn’t really care. But in the last month, after playing with more focus, I crossed 2000.

Now I’m thinking that if I study some openings, do puzzles and tactics, and learn endgames, I could improve a lot. At the same time, I worry about my age. I’ve heard that it’s harder to learn and remember things as we get older, compared to when we’re kids.

I’d appreciate any advice.

Thanks
