So sorry if this is a completely obvious question - I am trying to wear an airbag all the time. I recently got a Dainese Smart Air which is very very nice (at least to me).

Here is my question - can this truly be worn outside of a jacket - e.g. can I wear it through a Florida thunderstorm and will that be ok? I'm thinking of wearing it over a base layer / bowtex armored layer combo when it's really hot. The bowtex will serve as abrasion and armor.

Just wondering if it's ok to expose the airbag to the elements this much. I do have jackets I could wear it under, but I'm not sure that they are big enough.
