Anyone else struggling with gifting games to friends in other regions?
I’m from Ukraine, and I wanted to gift a game to my friend in Europe. Because of regional pricing the game costs more for him, so I decided to send him a Steam gift card for exactly the price of the game.
But Steam only lets you choose from 4 preset amounts. And those amounts are in UAH (Ukrainian hryvnia). To send him ~60€ I would have to send the biggest possible gift card four times. Super annoying.
So I made a small Chrome extension. It simply adds a custom amount field on the Steam Wallet top-up and gift card page. Now you can enter any sum you want.
It’s been working great for me so far. No more sending multiple gift cards or guessing amounts.
