Did I misread the date and vibes?
I had a date last week with a girl I met off the dating apps. I’m 27M, she was 25. We went to a cocktail bar and I felt like it was going great!
We had a few drinks each and were there for about 3 hours, maybe right under. There was some good conversation, banter, jokes, sarcasm etc.
Well the time passes, I realized she had ubered so I offered to take her home. I normally don’t do the following on first dates but, it felt like the chemistry was there and I had fun and felt enough attraction to ask to kiss her. So we kiss for a little bit, she gets out of the car and says to text her when I’m home, she had a lot of fun etc etc.
I text her when I’m home, she again says she had a fun time and that she’d text me about 4-5 days later as she was flying out for a trip for a few days. Cool that works for me.
Well it’s been about a week in a half, I texted a day or so ago asking how the trip was, crickets.
So did I completely misread the vibes? Could something else be going on? Someone doesnt spend 3 hours on a date, lets a random take them home, kiss them and then ask to text when you get home if you’re not interested right?
We were both politically aligned, I think the humor aligned although I like a bit more dark humor but she was laughing and joking back.
Any thoughts here?
