Bought an Omega at a garage sale
I bought this vintage Omega at a garage sale. It looks to be the real thing but I’m not sure. From my research, it’s an early to mid 1960s model. It has 14k Gold Filled engraved which seems to be common for the decade. It keeps time and works as it should. It probably needs some TLC still. Examples range from $800 up to 1.8K so I have no clue. I will have this serviced and generally brought to a clearer state. Would it hurt the value to polish the case, crystal and have the dial cleaned up without removing the patina?
