Hey everyone,

I recently blocked my seat for BTech lateral entry (joining directly into 2nd year), and honestly I have no idea what usually happens next 😭

Do colleges conduct any induction/orientation programme specifically for lateral entry students to help them get familiar with the campus, people, academics, clubs, etc.?

Since we’re directly entering 2nd year, I feel like everyone else already knows everything and we’ll just be thrown in randomly 💀

Also curious about small things:

•Do colleges give any stationery, ID kits, goodies, welcome kits or anything while joining?

•How hard is it to adjust socially as a lateral entry student?

•Any things I should prepare in advance before college starts?

•Should I revise some subjects before joining?

Anything you wish you knew before starting lateral entry life?

Would really appreciate advice from people who already went through lateral entry 🙏

Hi guys i was wondering of joining PES through management lateral via PESSAT i've booked the slot for 14th MAY as i am non Karnatak Student did my 3 years of Diploma in Bengaluru i cant give DCET so had to go through this way...i did Electronics and Communication in Diploma what kind of questions they will ask or what is generalized diploma syllabus for this or any branch for pessat as i believe this college is better than other private i wish to join here.
