Belmar Birding in Lakewood
Spotted Sandpipers, Killdeer, Mourning Dove, baby Barn Swallows. And a muskrat, because I’d never seen one before.

I’m watching from the window inside. Whenever it hops around a bit and flaps its wings, parent brings down a bit of food.

Spotted on the path back down from Willow Spring Trail in Lone Tree.
Several families of Canada Geese, with goslings of a few different age groups, spotted at Belmar Park in Lakewood.
Anyone more experienced than I have guesses as to how old the two different groups of goslings might be? (This is a very new hobby for me.)
Dressed my birb as a wildlife rehab volunteer, helping show a baby raccoon how to search for food in the wild, after hiding fruits, veggies, and eggs around the room. They’re dressed to prevent imprinting. Pet door leads to outdoor part of enclosure, with as many natural and climbing surfaces as possible.
(With greatest respect and admiration to real animal rehab workers, which I do not claim to be.)
