Best places in Northampton to find reasonably priced furniture that can be delivered?

Need some furniture for a place i’m moving in to in a month and don’t wanna end up spending too much (as i’ll only be renting for a year). I’ve heard the BHF can be great so might pop into there but any other ideas? I don’t drive so unfortunately picking something up myself is out the question.

Renting my first property and in a weird situation with referencing

So i’m not from the UK but i’ve gotten a graduate job here and will be starting in the middle of August. I’ve been looking at properties in the area and found a flat that seems great. After filling out the application form and my right to rent with the agency, I have now been told Rightmove will be conducting the referencing part of the process.

Now i’ve lived in the UK for 3 years and my parents have always paid my rent and supported me fully (I know that is a privilege and I am very grateful) but that also means I don’t have any of my own savings. The issue is I want my tenancy to start during the first week of August which is before I start work. What would be the easiest way to navigate this situation? Should I ask my parents to send me a lump sum of money to use as proof of savings or will my previous paid rent be enough proof that they’re willing to support me? Also keep in mind salary is way above the threshold for this property so it’s mostly an issue of proving I can afford the deposit and first months rent.

Has any had their uni accommodate them wanting to take grad pics before graduation?

Basically my graduation day is on the 15th of July but i’ll be out of the country visiting my family (they are not able to come here). Parents really want me to be able to take some pictures in my cap and gown to remember the moment. I’ve emailed my unis ceremonies team about it but haven’t got a reply yet. Has anyone possibly gone through this same thing? I’m hoping they’ll allow me to rent or borrow a gap and gown beforehand and maybe give me a placeholder certificate to hold in photos.

How to stand out on my graduate scheme?

Will hopefully be starting my graduate scheme soon and I really want to do well and prove I belong. I am being sponsored as a skilled worker and that already feels like a lot of pressure. In what ways do you think a new hire (particularly someone on a graduate scheme) can stand out and prove their worth to the team?

Any ideas if there will be plenty of tickets left for the Texans/Jags game closer to October?

Currently not in a position to spend that money but will be able to splurge closer to the game. From peoples experiences with buying NFL tickets in the UK, are there usually decent seats for decent prices left by September/October?

What villages surrounding Northampton would you recommend?

I know my question is a bit vague so i’ll add more context in here. Ive landed a Graduate Job in Northampton and will be moving there in the next couple of months. I currently live in Surrey and love it here. I haven’t heard the best things about Northampton (particularly the town centre) but have heard great things about nearby villages.

Now for my first year i’ll be without a car so living in those villages is basically not an option (as i’ll need good and reliable public transport) but during my second year, i’ll have bought myself a car. It would be particularly nice to be in the area between Northampton and Milton Keynes (I’m not from here so not sure if that area has a name lmao).

What villages would you recommend?
