Taking over old Bose home theater. Planning my upgrade
Just getting settled into our new to us home which came with a dedicated home theater and an old Bose lifestyle system. My initial thought was to wire a completely new more conventional 5.1 system and abandon the ceiling mounted Bose stuff but now I’m wondering if I could repurpose these ceiling mounted speakers for atmos channels - is this feasible or a waste of time? The new 5.1 will be floor standing fronts and wall mounted center and surround channels.
The projector is an older 1080p Epson which I’ll also upgrade down the line but I’m planning to start with speakers and a receiver first.
The room is about 12 x 18’
