This is an HR question about background checks. I tried to off myself in a state where it's against the law and as a result ended up in a scuffle with police after my boyfriend sent them to my home. They took me to the hospital and then jail, and charged me with battering a police officer and intimidation or something because you know, black woman, white cops.FFWD, I'm applying for my massage license after moving states and they want specific information because the arrests did not result in charges or convictions, but they don't know why. I contacted the police department and she said she could see that it was a suicide attempt, but that most of it was redacted. I'm fairly certain the reason it was redacted is that the boyfriend who called the police was a football player at my school, who went on to play in the NFL. So I feel like he's the one who hid the records to protect himself. But it's really a pain in my butt. It took two years for me to get approved for global entry because I couldn't prove that nothing came of the arrest. Oh, from 2008.

Tldr; Do people have the right to unredacted arrest records to clear up a background check?

Took that bugger today. Passed, no clue how. I feel like I want to thank all the other test takers around me since I know it's curved.

I just moved to Arizona from California and the process is more complex and costly than I could have ever imagined. I was surprised when I tried looking for other therapists who made the same move and didn't find anyone to help. So, if anyone else is moving from another state to Arizona, feel free to check in if you need advice. The process is so much longer than it was for California. Now I'll just be hanging out for the next 5 to 8 weeks. 😁

I'm coming from a state where curbside recycling will pick up clean cardboard if it's flattened and bundled. Currently in Ahwatukee and I just learned that large cardboard would have to be saved for bulk pickup. I refuse to pass judgment, but what? Can anyone direct me in how best to recycle cardboard boxes but do not fit in the blue bin? Additionally, I had an old metal shelf that I broke down and put in the garbage bin but was told that they would pull it out and not take it? Everything online seems salesy and contradictory. Please help!
