The second they put their queen in front of their king my Gotham chess slowrun senses started tingling. Was about 3 moves in the making

Dog bites - possible to fully train away?

We have a 2 year old shih tzu. He has bitten both owners and family members. All bites level 3 or less on Dunbar bite scale.

Bites usual from guarding, being picked up when he doesn’t want to be or leaning over him. This is obviously a major problem as he has bitten on multiple occasions now.

Never latches on, it is usually a yelp/snap bite where contacts but immediately backs off. Never latches on.

I can’t imagine ever giving up on him and we are in the process of sourcing a behavioural specialist to address the situation. Pushed to look for one now after maybe 6months of no issues but two bites in recent weeks.

My question is really just one of hope. Is it really possible to fully fix our guy so this won’t happen? It’s just two of us in the house but kids may be on the cards down the line and I’m really worried he can never be around them. Just looking for some cold hard facts and advice so I can start to process what’s possible here.

Thanks in advance.

Took me a good while to figure out why this was an inaccuracy.

Thought I’d forced their queen to move as if they took my bishop I’d take their queen with the knight… did not see that they could just force a queen take back by checking me with their bishop after
