On a scale from 1-10, How dumb am I for wanting a PS5 Pro just for PS4/PS5 backlog?

For the past 10 years, I've primarily been a PC gamer. As I get older, I am finding that I spend more time tinkering with the damn pc game settings then I do actually playing the games.

When 007 First Light came out, I bought it on my base PS5 over PC. I knew I would be sacrificing fps and resolution, but I didn't care. It was probably the first game I beat on console in at last 5 years and loved it! (Despite it being a bit blury on base PS5 performance mode.)

After that, I have started going through my backlog of games I wanted to play, but never got around to playing. Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill F, Far Cry 6, and a few other Ubisoft games.

The unified experience of playstation is such a breath of fresh air. No juggling driver updates, advanced graphics tweaks, display settings, etc. Best part of all, no Ubisoft Connect, EA App, Epic games launcher, gog launcher, etc. Just playstation. I know this seems like common sense, but eliminating all the launchers and having a unified place to just play the games really oppened my eyes on how simplicity makes gaming better. At least for me.

That's where the Pro comes in. On base PS5, I always play on performance mode. Framerate stability is probably the most important thing for me to be immersed these days. While the base PS5 does consistantly hit 60 fps in most games, the dynamic resolution is getting really noticable in newer titles on a 4k tv. PS5 Pro seems like it solves this issue. Not only would I get more solid FPS, but it seems like I would also be getting the top end of the dynamic resolution scalling and much better sharpness in image.

Mm I crazy to think buying a PS5 Pro for my PS4/PS5 game backlogs is a good idea? GTA 6 is also a factor but would not be the main reason for getting it. I am very open to the idea that I'm just dumb and would be waisting my money xD
