Had anyone received a confirmation email from the PS direct store after pre-ordering console plates or controllers?

I managed to grab some plates and a controller. Got an order received window but there was no order number, and I've not gotten a confirmation email. Credit card shows the pending charge.

Hoping it went through properly and its just stuck due to the traffic.

Thank you Sony! And thank you to whoever took the ps5 pro disc cover plate out of their cart because I was spamming add to cart even though it said out of stock and then it added to the bag! I’m definitely taking a couple paid days off to enjoy this launch lol!

I joined the PlayStation Beta Program over a year ago now but still haven't been emailed by PlayStation with an invite or any beta codes yet, whilst I know people who have joined in the last couple of months and have received a beta invite code already. Any ideas or advice on increasing my chances of getting an invite or a beta invite? Thanks in advance, UK based btw

I entered the page and it said there was stock, after 30 seconds I press pay and surprise no stock available anymore?

- I've checked that the official PlayStation stock response is cached for 120 seconds, so refreshing the same page in the same browser in less than 120s should not be worth it.
- 2026/08/19 18:46h Spain time/store, Yellow plates not available since 2026/08/19 10:11h a.m., I tracked the yellow plates every 121 seconds with a browser plugin that refreshes the page and with AI it takes screenshots every 125s: if "No disponible actualmente" found it notifies me by playing a loud music file, no luck.
- I stopped checking, this is a waste of time and money now, either I can buy it easy without rush or I won't buy it, my plan was this:

I know its been told many times but I will add to the noise, this console is a fucking beast. I finally set up my new pro the other day and was constantly comparing games like spider man 2, ghost of yotei, horizon with my base ps5 and the image quality difference is out of this world, specifically in the performance modes.

This upgrade is way bigger than what ps4 pro was to base ps4. Almost feels like a PS6 at times. Do not hesitate to buy if you want one, you won’t regret it.

I caved in and finally decided to get a ps5 pro. I was initially playing on ps4 and PC until I got a PS5 a few years ago. Since then I’ve been really only played on PS5, and also heard about price hike and pros selling out and gta6 so I upgraded for the superior experience. I didn’t notice too much difference after setting it up then realized my monitor and TV are from like 6 years ago and doesn’t even have hdmi 2.1 compatibility. I have LG 32” QHD 165 Hz. 1ms. Which I thought was good enough at the time of PC gaming.

Anyone have any good recommendations for cheap right now? I’m trying to hold out on major new TV and monitor upgrade until Black Friday sale. Or should I just not get anything until then anyways? I feel like my ps5 pro is bored out of its mind for underperformance.

Have motion blur, film grain, and chromatic aberration turned off and it looks way better now.

Hey all ! I’ve had the OG ps5 since 2020. It still works fine , and I’ve been getting by with it . Do you guys think it is justified to purchase the pro ? Before gta 6 etc?

Or should I just stick with what I have and wait for the ps6?

Kind of struggling to justify it. But at the same time , a new tv and ps5 pro sounds sweet.

The game looks absolutely incredible especially on performance mode however there is one issue, there seems to be a really weird issue where you see fuzzy artifacts on the water (which the game has plenty of obviously lmao) i believe it has something to do with the nature of PSSR.

Is this something that can ever be fixed by Ubisoft or simply the nature of PSSR?

I got a PS5 Pro last month without knowing all that much about how much power I was leaving on the table by not upgrading what was basically an entry level monitor which supported an HDR signal, but wasn't capable of rendering true HDR.

Yesterday I bought a MSI MAG 272URX QD-OLED.

The PS5 Pro felt like an upgrade. The combination of the Pro and the OLED feels like a generational leap.

I would go out on a limb and say you owe it to yourself to get an OLED tv or monitor if you have a Pro.

Is there any reason not to trade in a base "fat" ps5 for a ps5 pro or advantage to keeping both?

one of my friends is insisting it's always better to keep your old consoles, which yeah if there was an old ps3 i could maintain backwards compatibility, but this is a ps5 to ps5 pro, I don't think I would be missing anything.

Pro's lighting on Performance mode (especially indoors) is loads better vs Base, better LOD, PSSR2 doing work with a sharp image, a shame the Pro version has a bug where film grain and chromatic aberration can not be turned off, those certainly effect the picture clarity
