Been so busy with MSFS2024, that almost forgot how awesome Aces of Thunder is!

After being busy with mostly career missions in MSFS2024 for the past month. Wanted to jump in for some quick dog fighting in Aces Of Thunder, and reminded how awesome this game is. I think Aces is the perfect game to pair with MSFS2024 for a complete aviation experience. Lucky to have both in the same library 💯

Transporting patient during Medevac mission in MSFS2024.

First time doing this mission and I was super nervous. Thankfully nailed the landing at the end. So proud of myself 🥳

Anyways, this footage was captured on Ps5pro and psvr2.

Enjoy!

Flying plus landing in heavy rainstorm, during cargo delivery mission in MSFS2024. Running on PS5pro and Psvr2.

Definitely not one of my best landing, but given the weather, I was happy to bring the plane down in one piece 😥

Help! Passengers not showing inside airplane during VIP charter missions on PS5

During the missions the boarding procedures happen just fine, I even hear the passengers commenting on the flight, but when I look around the airplane is empty. I don’t have this issue during sight seeing or photography missions. Only during VIP charter missions I faced this issue. I am on Ps5pro btw. Anyone else faced this issue?

Just passed my “Instrument Rating” test in MSFS2024 🫡

This was a hard one. To access VIP charter missions for private planes, you have to get your Instrument Rating and 7 smooth landing rating 50% or above for Airplane missions.

Flying IRF for the first time was quite challenging. Flying into the clouds without any visual reference except for your on board instrument was scary. 😨

I highly recommend doing the training before jumping into this test.

Bought my first aircraft in MSFS2024 🥳

The Cessna Skyhawk 172, one of my most favourite aircraft in the game. I bought it for my sight seeing company. The payouts are insane when you use your own aircraft, but you have to pay for maintenance after.

Thanks to this game, I am completely in love with aviation now. My YouTube feed is filled with pilot debrief, airplane cockpit videos and landing videos. Who knew transporting cargo, people and planes via flying would be this much fun. 🤔

I can literally stay in this game for hours to complete these missions and not get bored or tired. There is this zen like feeling sitting in the cockpit thousands feet above ground, looking at the world down below passing by.

Sure free flight is fun, flying from one airport to another, but these career missions really put a purpose behind each flight. For example if you are flying with passengers, you have to fly smooth or the passengers will start complaining and get scared. Or if you are landing too rough, the airline or the aircraft owner will give you shit. Sometimes you have to slowdown your airplane so passengers can take pictures of the landscape.

The career mode will also test your flying skills quite often. Sometimes you will have to land on someone’s backyard, or a field with almost no room for any mistakes. Sometimes you will have to climb to certain altitude to pass a huge mountain and through the clouds, and when you are flying above the mountain or through clouds, the winds will be all unpredictable and you have to fight with the yolk to keep control. It is absolutely terrifying when you face these situations, sometimes I was sweating bullets trying to land or complete a pattern before landing. But when you finally land that plane safely after an hour long flight, you literally feel like you can take over the world. 🌎

I feel like this how the game was truly meant to be played. In Career mode the game truly shines. Doing these long haul cargo missions or transport missions are so damn cool 😎

Can’t wait to start flying those big passenger jets for commercial airlines 👨‍✈️

If you missed my early impressions of this game, you can read it right here:

Now with that out of the way, I am happy to report that it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. It took me about 6 hours to beat this game and the last boss encounter really knocked it out of the park.

The story is quite simple, you are a contractor tasked with retrieving some top secret company schematics. And these schematics are the blueprints of this animatronic called mimic.

Which brings me to the highlight of this game, is the mimic and its behaviour. This mimic can jump from one animatronic to another and except for the set pieces, these encounters are completely random. Best way I can describe it is like Mr X, from Resident evil 2 remake.

This is mainly a horror puzzle adventure, but the puzzles were designed in a way to keep pushing you forward in the game, rather than stop you dead on the tracks( except for one puzzle near the end). At no point did I ever feel lost or confused about what I was supposed to do next.

Now for some of the technical stuff. The game ran and looked almost flawlessly. In my 6 hours of gameplay, I did not have a single crash, game breaking bug or slowdowns.

Only issues I had were really minor, such as the multitool you use will sometimes shift to slightly different position on your hip if turn physically, or how the game does not support manual crouching, you have to press right stick to crouch. But given the grand scale of things, given how awesome the core game is, these issues really didn’t bother me.

My only real issues where the lack of use of Psvr2 features such as headset rumble or adaptive triggers. Also pressing buttons in game terminals were not so precise. Specially in a rush, you will input wrong numbers by mistake. I hope a quick patch can address these issues.

In conclusion, I have no doubt that FNAF: Secret of the Mimic will be nominated for Vr game of the year for 2026, it might even win it. This is the type of experience I got into Vr for.

Final Score: 8.5/10

I have mostly good news with this one. Unlike other FNAF games on psvr2, this one is a full length horror puzzle adventure. The first thing you will notice about this game is the visual clarity and how intuitive it feels to play. It has both smooth and snap turning, options to enable or disable vignettes. It feels like it was designed for VR first then flat screen.

In conclusion, I am extremely happy with my purchase. I only stoped playing to write this for you. Looking forward to jump back in, complete the game and give my full impressions of this game.

Current score 9/10

Cooking simulator, flying simulator, driving simulator, shooting simulator, diving simulator, kayaking simulator. I mean you want to get good at something, or experience something before trying the real thing? Psvr2 has you covered.

What a time to be alive! Unlike flat screen gaming, where you are just pressing buttons. In Vr gaming, you are actively participating in the game and building your gross motor functions.

I can’t explain how much my driving has improved ever since I started playing GT7 regularly. Or how I am scared of heights, but because of Psvr2, I can experience flying.

It does not only end there. I feel like the psvr2 fan base , more than any other Vr fan base tend to respect more complicated and robust Vr games. Games that take time to learn and actually teaches you real life skills.

If you look at the list of heavy hitters on Psvr2. Games such as Hitman WOA, Aces Of Thunder, MSFS, Pavlov and GT7. None of these games are just easy to pick up and play. You seriously have to put down some time, learn the mechanics to fully enjoy them. And we psvr2 fans are more than happy to. It really shows how well the headset is designed and Sony’s direction to Vr gaming.

In conclusion, I can only speak from my experience. But every time I am on my psvr2, it does not only feel like I am gaming. It also feels like I am training, learning and picking up new useful skills all the time. It never feels like a waste of time.

Thank you

💙💙
