A bit confused and stuck with Zettelkasten

Hello everyone, I am a relative beginner to Zettelkasten, i've posted on this subreddit before asking y'all for advice but now i'm afraid I need more of said advice. My Zettelkasten started with Crime and Punishment, where theres lots of philosophical ideas to be extracted but I always chase perfectionism and feel like if my notes arent perfect then whats the point of even analysing the book, I highlight important parts in the book and turn them into literature notes, then I turn these literature notes into Atomic notes(eventually) but the problem is I find it very hard to assimilate my literature notes' context into standalone atomic notes because some of the ideas are very niche and I dont even know how i'm supposed to make atomic notes with these. Additionally, whenever I highlight key parts in the book I usually switch tabs to obsidian where I put down the quote and log it as a lit note, but that part is very time intensive and I seem to always chase perfection(as mentioned above). Ill also post my lit notes here:

https://share.note.sx/wpu1nk3i#dV6G7sb/dV7e3jTSz/2RLQ

Ive also come up with one permanent idea(and only one) since starting the book

Thanks yall, lwk Im also very pissed at myself for not finding ideas or links...

The Brothers Karamazov: Worth Reading?

Ive picked up CNP around 3 days ago and ive read around 1/5 of the book and I love Dostoyevskys writing style and humor, I could read it faster but I am analysing parts of the book while reading it, hes very philosophical with it and watching Raskolnikovs mental decline is perfectly eery. I plan to pick up notes from underground afterwards but its only around 100 pages so I think ill finish it relatively quickly. Many people say that TBK is the magnum opus of Dostoyevsky but I am still trying to understand parts of Dostoyevskys writing and people also tell me that TBK is hard to read. Additionally, I am also told that there are heavy Christian themes, Im not a Christian so i'm afraid I wont be able to understand these themes and it may spoil important parts in the books lore.

Edit: I expected this post to not gain any traction but yall can understand my surprise when I came back just to see FIFTY SIX MESSAGES! Its not like I dont want to read it but I'm asking yall why I should read it instead of War and Peace or Don Quixote which are also on my reading lists. To anyone saying Im too naive and havent touched a book in my life, well, I have! I asked the count of monte cristo subrerddit the exact same question before starting to read that book, asked my friends about Thus Spoke Zarathustra before reading that book and now I ask this subreddit why should I read the Brothers Karamazov. Proof down below

To all the fanatics over here, I dont say that the book is overrated, instead I ask why should I read it and also
added my personal concern of whether the Christian themes will overbear me, I dont think thats a crime is it?

Beginner to crime and punishment

Hello everyone, there are two weeks left of my summer break, I picked up Crime and Punishment two days ago and I'm around one part in, loving it so far, Im loving it so much that ive decided to analyse it while reading it(kind of). And since I am a lazy piece of shit I plan to update my reading progress here, I plan to do 35 pages a day and usually i dont do that instead I do 5 pages one day and 200 the other(usually after a week). If anyone knows about Zettelkasten thats basically what this is, but the permanent notes are stored somewhere else(DM me for them, or if your curious). But the analytical notes(basically just my thoughts) will be shared here, please take a look let me know of your thoughts and criticism is welcome, feedback is appreciated.

My first notes!

Im a beginner to Zettelkasten and after reading around 50 pages of Crime and Punishment I was able to scrape up some key ideas from it and make them into notes by themself(Permanent notes) I initally created one big permanent note and then branched it out to smaller ones with one topic each, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEE give me feedback, ill put down some links for you to access them and criticism is welcome no matter how harsh! Im just posting this to make sure ive taken the right path. For context this is about how people lacking in traits tend to overcompensate.

The Crime and Punishment Source Material(for the specific part I think the focus is more on page 48, Ill write down the quotation to make it easier for readers to understand) please feel free to let me know what i missed out on:
https://share.note.sx/dxdqq15f#TEqK1dMAoDn+0LNeXP9qMQ

This is my sort of dumping spot where I dump everything on my head, its very rough and Ill eventually segregate topics inside:

https://share.note.sx/kcyig5x6#Vle2FG4lphOVQ3Bds6jL0A

This is the title paragraph(sort of)

This is a branch: Same Domain Oversimplification

Another Branch: Cross Domain Oversimplification

https://share.note.sx/w9txpuwe#y8ltde3v4aFlb3kq7fK0/A

THATS ALL FOLKS! But in all seriousness to anyone whos read through all of this and is still kind enough to give feedback, my eternal gratitude is yours, criticism is welcome and this is probably the only Zettel ill post because I am a beginner!

A keen beginner to Zettelkasten

I've just started a Zettelkasten in Obsidian following the youtuber Odysseas advice and videos as well as reading How to take smart notes by Sonke Achen, I would like to ask the community for anything I should know of before starting the Zettelkasten(my first note is going to be picking out quotes and maybe ideas from Crime and Punishment and then later creating seperate permanent notes with ideas from the book) I am still very new to this and seeking your assistance, thanks a lot!

Edit: just wanted to show you all what I did for around 2 pages worth of analysis and Zettelkasen

These are just source material pages and not yet my permanent notes

I cant put in the whole quote and I just wrote 'pg 48 monologue' on my software but its roughly about a girl that MC finds drunk with a man who is much older than her, after a minor trifle he assumes that this girl will get addicted to the drink, get caught and punished by her mother, but since shes addicted to the drink she keeps drinking and eventually becoms a cripple at ripe age 19, he initially speaks of her with pity but it turns into spite - was everyone experiencing a situation similar to this girl which allows MC to immediately throw a big assumption about the rest of her life, initially he speaks to her situation out of pity and then of spite.

'Forget about it, whats it to you, just let her have her fun'(same girl from earlier following the man, MC addresses a police officer in the scene trying to intervene' - MC immediately changes his mind even after stoutly defending that girl(earlier part of the page) this could either be due to the vain of himself or a quick change of mind showing an unstable character

pg 48 highlighted part - mc is both poor yet snobby(haughty), do poor people typically become snobby to make up for their poorness? Does this apply to every aspect(see Napoleon Complex) where people become rude or 'haughty' as a compensation to their disadvantage? This possibly links to the power complex he makes for himself which gives him the justification to kill the older lady

this is just a bit of my analysis and for context, par 2 comes before par 1.

Beginner to crime and punishment

Hello everyone my copy of crime and punishment(Oliver readys translation) arrives in two days and I would like to ask for advice from the community and maybe foster a bit of conversation about the book. I've read the count of monte cristo, a few of Agatha Christies works(most notably and then there were none which I loved) and also white knights by Dostoevsky. Also another thing I've heard that at the end the main character does a confession(at a church?)? Is that a major spoiler or something.

Imagine your the director of a new tcomc film

So imagine this, you've been chosen as the director of an

"A count of monte cristo" movie and your first job is to select the actors for the cast, this is a question I've been pondering for a long time and so far I've only come up with two actors for the role of danglers which are Mads Mikkelsen for old danglars and young Leonardo Di caprio for young danglers. You can choose any actor that is still alive and potentially turn back their ages like I did, so who would you choose and which part of the story would you leave out?

I've done it

I've done it y'all after three weeks of reading and a Reddit post preceding it asking the community what I need to know as a beginner. Unlike some people I saw I actually love the ending, personally I wanted Albert and haydee to get together but I guess not. This book is amazing I am going to re-read it 15/10 thank you all very much.

Finally past the halfway point

Hello everyone greetings, as some of you may know I have posted on this subreddit before and promised to track my progress but forgot about that, I've had multiple hiatuses and was busy with life for a while, a week ago from now I had completely forgot about the book and had left it at the chapters situated in Italy with Franz and Albert but now after getting the time and more importantly the resolve to read it I've made my way to page 700, to everyone reading the book for the first time up to the pages I've read, please do not quit at the Italy chapters which I was almost about to do as it gets FARR more interesting after that(I found the Italy chapters very boring), in the past few days I've rediscovered the book and it has become interesting again! I hope to finish the book by the end of the month.

(Also please feel free to discuss the book from chapter 1 to 64 where I am now)

Arrivederci Abbe...

I was frankly looking forward for Dantes to escape with Faria and both of them enjoying the treasure but a part of me knew it was inevitable that he died(said part was confirmed during his seizure). I loved the father son bonding between them and it's such a shame Dantes has lost both of his fathers :(

Begginer reading the count of monte cristo

I'm 15, have read a few books before such as The Murder Of Roger Ackyroyd, And Then there were none, The AGGTM trilogy, the first book of harry potter, the davinci code among a few others. Personally I'm a big fan of intricate plots, adventure and cyclical stories(all of which are themes in The Count of Monte Cristo or so I have been told) however it is 1300 pages and I play to break it up by reading 1-3 chapters a day and finishing the daunting story in around a month or two. Before I get in can anyone give me any advice? Some say to use character maps but I'm not sure how, some annotate on their copies which i despise, I've read the first few pages online and my copy is due to arrive tomorrow.

Cramming= Higher Grades?

So y'all normally I spam past year papers and questions before an exam, I have two specific cases I would like to explain to y'all and would love to find some reasoning for it. Firstly I had a biology exam, I studied two weeks beforehand all the way up to the day itself, had everything stuck into my brain but when the results came I did shit(shit as in I still got a A but not my average which is one of the highest). I had a chemistry exam that same week, however I didn't study all my effort went into bio, however I got one of the highest, same thing happened with a physics test afterwards. For bio when I checked my mistakes I found half were from careless mistakes and the other half from I forgot ;/. I plan to cram the next physics exam by studying one day beforehand I'll lyk how it goes y'all
