I got off work a hour and a half ago and i just remembered a conversation….i told the lady i would be back to put her down(standing lift) after she changed becasue she likes to change on her own and she moves really slow so i was going to give her a few minutes i did some other task and clearly forgot about her and I feel extremely bad because who knows if the night shift person checked on her and it was an honest mistake either way im sure i have a write up coming which doesn’t bother me because it’s honestly deserved lol. I just can’t believe i really forgot entirely…

I assume yall think she was in her chair for hours after i left…she was in her chair for 30 mins 💀she got put down right after I left just not by me I simply didn’t REALIZE until later my goodness

For me I’m in Louisiana and have maybe a year and a half experience and our pay sucks so just curious about other states. Like even our nurses pay sucks people in OTHER states working as a CNA damn near make as much as our nurses do😂

Especially The ones that purposefully lie on you. If you thought the nurses were messy the residents are worse and don’t even get me started on the ones that think they know everything .I had a resident tell me when I’m allowed to and not allowed to take my break. Or they’re convinced this is a hotel. If im doing rounds why do you think yelling at me to rearrange your room for you is a priority ?!? And sometimes im Okay with doing extra sometimes im not my job description is not to be your personal maid. And let’s not even speak on the cursing and slurs …
