Cat becoming picky with food
My 8-9 month old cat has gradually become more and more picky with his wet food. His meals are:
Breakfast:
- 5g of dry Purina pro plan kitten food in a puzzle feeder
- Half can of Purina pro plan wet kitten food + 5g of dry food + small amount of water mixed all together
Lunch:
- 10 g of dry food from automatic food dispenser
Dinner:
- 7g of dry in puzzle feeder
- half a puck of smallcat frozen raw food in food bowl
- 13g of dry food + splash of water in food bowl
- food bowl is microwaved for 5-7 seconds
My other cat eats everything with no issues while this cat has been getting pickier. For dinner he generally eats the raw food and the food in the puzzle feeders but leaves everything else unless I sit down and coax him to eat it. This morning he barely ate his food bowl and only ate the dry food in the puzzle feeders for breakfast which was a first time for me.
He seems healthy. He’s energetic, affectionate, and still poops and pees just fine. He’s also still grooming himself.
Is he just being picky? Is he tired of the water in his food? Any advice would be appreciated!
