Hey all- I am aspiring to start taking my toddler on rides and daily errands like daycare drop off to avoid getting a new car. I’m looking for bike recommendations for peak safety. I live in Atlanta where it’s relatively hilly but daily errands are only 1-3 miles away.

I have another piece of advice needed since I will cross an interstate interchange (which is mostly unavoidable) but is my primary safety concern. I could try to take the sidewalk for that short stretch but there’s often debris or drivers still not looking from the slip lane.

Welcome any advice on tactics and bike recommendations!

Obviously seeing a lot of negative experiences here (understandable) but I’m curious if the new bus rollout has been helpful or better for anyone? I haven’t had the opportunity to leverage the new routes yet or the new A-Line.
