I’m really thrilled with the latest ninja creami hack that I discovered. I’ve been using clear whey protein with a half teaspoon of citric acid to create what comes out to be a beautifully zingy high-protein sherbet. This all uses my standard base vanilla recipe. The only difference is the addition of the citric acid and clear protein powder. I suspect it might work with your own base recipe as well.
333 calories with 42g of protein in a pint.
I made this bowl with three different clear protein powders. I happened to use oath nutrition here, but any clear whey should work.
* Island mango
* Passionfruit punch
* Pink lemonade
Yes, I added some gel food coloring to each to get that classic sherbet color. I spun up three different pints and took a scoop from each one.
Has anybody tried this? With your own base recipe? Even my partner likes this and that’s saying something.
I’ve been loving trying these clear protein powders in my standard base creami recipe. They’re tangy and taste just like sherbet to me. Also trying a new casein powder and a standard chocolate powder
