Courtesan of a Nation… What an arc…

Would it be crazy to say this shot straight to my top 1 arcs?

because holy shit, i finished COAN and that whole arc genuinely gave me chills down my entire body.

the action, the story, the characters, the animation, the voice acting, the everything

this arc really surprised me, what other arc could possibly top this arc??

I’ve recently finished the Thorny arc and that might have been one of the coolest arcs in Gintama

The arc story is alright but everything else is so cool, I absolutely loved that arc.

It moved pretty quickly but the comedy and the seriousness was the perfect ratio.

also unrelated question: i heard i should continue gintama when i get to the rakuyou decisive battle arc, is that worth doing so?

Episode 231 might’ve have been the funniest gintama comedy episode I’ve watched.

I’ve laughed at all of gintama’s episodes, but nothing comes close to how much I laughed at this episode. I was watching this in public and I swear people must’ve thought I was going crazy.

Four Devas arc shot straight up to my top 3 arcs real quick..

i finished the four devas arc, another 10/10 arc from gintama, they just keep handing these out like candy and im loving it

this moment gave me genuine goosebumps, i didn’t know gintoki would go this mad. but what i loved about this is that it showed that being angry doesn’t give you power over the opponent

i watched this arc on a plane and was glued to my seat from the start of the episode to the end of the arc.

if this is 10/10, what is coming in store for me next??

Recently finished the red spider arc and…

don’t get me wrong, this arc was great, got to learn more about who tsukuyo was as a character, and that final episode was beautiful.

buuuuut i feel like this arc has a little bit of downsides such as jiraia being a kind of uninteresting villain with a forced backstory, especially coming after a villain like housen after yoshiwara in flames, and also having tsukuyo, who is meant to be this strong woman appear as a damsel in distress, kinda losing the point of her character

I just finished the Yoshiwara in Flames arc… and holyyyyyyyy shiiiiiiiiiitttt.

this arc was so fucking good, genuinely.

the seriousness that happened so quickly, that i was unable to look away from the screen until it finished.

the backstory moments with seita and hinowa made me shed a tear because i know what it was like to lose someone

the newly introduced characters like housen, tsukuyo, and kamui.

this arc quickly shot up to my number 1 as soon as it started and shed a whole new light on gintoki and kagura.

bro even kagura was so sick in this arc, i see her so differently now, that sudden rage that awoke lowkey gave me goosebumps, i never knew that she was capable of that.

damn, if this arc is that good, how good will the future ones be 💔💔💔

The Kintaro Arc was a tough watch.

And not tough in the sense that it was a bad arc, it was tough because how much I relate to the arc.

I’ve had experienced the death of family dog, which made this arc really hit close to home for me.

I can’t believe an anime like Gintama has got me feeling this way, I walked into this anime expecting full comedy. I never expected to shed tears.

Ryugojo is such a simple yet impactful arc

I just finished the ryugojo arc, and i have to say this arc was so beautiful. even if im only watching gintama for the first time, i cant believe that an anime like this is making me feel this way and im not usually the type to feel this way about media mostly

if this arc makes me feel this way, i might not be ready for the future arcs.

and question, as a person who doesn’t usually cry so easily to media like anime, games, books etc.

should i still prepare and ready myself up for future arcs? will i still cry/tear up?

I just finished the Shinsengumi Arc, and wow, that was absolutely spectacular.

this has to be my favourite arc yet, and hijikata shot up to my top 5 characters after this arc, is there anything else to expect after this arc, am i in for a wild ride?
