Part 2 of the Shonen Cross AU (Admittedly this isn’t based on a Shonen anime but it’s close enough!)

“I’m learning.” A six year old Momo said, as her little fingers clacked away on the keyboard.

“Learning? By playing… what even is this?” The maid asked. She had known Momo was a genius for her age, but learning by herself was new.

“Terraria. Calamity Terraria, to be precise.” Momo said, as her custom made character zoomed across the screen.

“I’m afraid… I’ll need you to elaborate. Forgive me for my ignorance.” The maid said, bowing deeply.

“I finally figured my quirk out. My quirk is connected into this game. It’s a fantasy sandbox game where you collect materials to craft weapons and gear to fight monsters and stuff. Watch this.” Momo said, before outstretching her hand. “Come to me, Comet Quasher!”

In a flash of blue light, a massive club-like weapon appeared in her hand. She hefted it as if it was feather light.

”I can create any weapon or item from this game, so long as I know and speak its full name.“ Momo said, before walking outside with her little legs, lifting the massive hunk of metal above her head, and swinging the blade into the ground. Four large meteors fell from the sky, crashing into the ground around her.

“Mistress Momo!” The maid screeched, but to her shock, Momo was unharmed, as was the ground where the meteors impacted.

“Comet Quasher doesn’t have destruction physics, silly!” Momo giggled, as the weapon vanished into thin air.

The maid breathed a heavy sigh of relief, then nodded.

“Very well then, go back to your game, Mistress Momo… Your friend Shoto will be coming over in few hours to play.”

“Yayyy, Shoto‘s coming!” The child cheered, lifting her hands into the air. She had been friends with the boy for several years, ever since the boy and his family had won the lawsuit against their father 4 years ago and moved away from him. She even considered him her best and only real friend.

Little did she know, that would change, and her friend group would expand very fast.

Part 1 of the Shonen Cross AU

“Please, Enji, he’s your son!” Rei pleaded from the hospital bed where she rested. “Shoto is just as much your child as Natsuo, as Fuyumi, as Toya…”

“No. At least they have Ice or Fire. This… thing, doesn’t have EITHER!” Enji said, pointing to their child’s black hair, as opposed to the white of an Ice quirk user or the red of a Fire quirk user.

“He’s still a living child! Even if he’s quirkless, or has a weak quirk… he’s yours, no, ours.”

“Tch. You think that I must care for such a waste? That I am required to spend my hard earned money and time on nothing? Give him to me.”

“No!“ Rei shrieked, but Enji had snatched the baby from her hands.

”He doesn’t even look like me! How can this runt ever surpass me, let alone All M-AOOOUUUU!”

His rant turned into a howl of agony as a sharp searing pain burnt through his suit and into his chest.

“What the-“ Rei exclaimed, looking at her husband and their baby frantically. Then she saw it. Their son’s legs shone with brilliantly blazing flames. One foot was planted on Endeavor’s chest, and Rei could spot flame-shaped birthmarks that started at his ankles and went up his legs, stopping at the knee.

“Our son… has a quirk!” Endeavor said, clutching Shoto with a new respect and awe.

”No.” Rei said, snatching the baby out of his hands. “MY son has a quirk. You may have forgotten, Enji, but the Himura family is very wealthy, and is on good terms with both the Yaoyorozu and Iida families. You’ll be hearing from our lawyers VERY soon.”

TLDR: Rei Todoroki has connections and a spine and Shoto has the Devil’s Footprints from Fire Force.

It was a crazy idea. A stupid one. Kirishima knew that much.

Yet somehow, he had a feeling. A warm feeling, that it would work.

“Mina, Bakugo, give me your hands.” He said. The two of them walked over.

“If this doesn’t work… I just wanna say, I love you guys. Mina, I want to marry you so badly… and Bakubro, you’ve always been a brother to me.”

”Eh, if I’m gonna die next to anyone, I’d rather it be you.“ Bakugo said.

“Oh, Kiri… I love you too!” Mina squeaked, as the three of them linked hands.

“Power.” Bakugo said.

“Hope.” Mina added.

”Hero.” Kirishima finished, before staring Shigaraki in the eye.

”WE HAVE THE STRENGTH OF THREE HEARTS! AND WHEN OUR HEARTS AND SOULS ARE ONE, WE’LL HAVE MORE POWER!”

“SOUL RESONANCE, GOOOOO!”

Miraculously, it worked. The soul merge absorbed all three bodies and turned them into one, ultra-powerful being.

“And now, you will witness my ultimate creation. Far beyond any Nomu, far beyond any hero. These… are my Titans.” All For One said, raising hand upward to signal the gates to open. as they did, dozens of giant flesh-colored Nomu stepped out and began rampaging across the city.

“No…” Ochako muttered, turning to look at her classmates.

“Deku, what are we going to… Deku?” She asked, looking around for her classmate. Suddenly, a blur whizzed past her head, causing a burst of air to whip across her face.

”It’s Midoriya!” Ida said, squinting.

Sure enough, it was Izuku Midoriya, strapped into a special kind of harness with two large grappling hooks, and twin swords that he weilded experly. Also attached to his back was a massive JBL speaker that played a song only Bakugo recognized.

Are you the prey, or are you the hunter?

Hearing their Footsteps roar like thunder.

Even a lamb, content in its pasture,

When cornered can turn into the JAEGER!

Now we are fueled by unending bloodlust, now that our freedom’s stolen from us,

Open the gates and ride to the twilight,

We’re no longer caged anymoreeee!

”WIER SIEN DIE JAEGER!” He shouted. beheading one of the titans in a single clean swipe.

“ARE YOU KIDDING?!” Katsuki shouted. “WHO GAVE DEKU ODM GEAR?! AND WHERE DO I GET SOME?!”

Izuku squinted at the horizon, his heightened senses working in overdrive to see several miles away.

“Huh. The guy near Uraraka disappeared. Guess that means he found a means to escape. That just leaves Overhaul to deal with.”

He smirked, his bright blue eyes gleaming with excitement.

“Oh well. Guess that means I get to play rough.”

He put both his hands together, curling his right fingers around his left palm.

“Limitless Amplification: Blue.”

A swirling blue orb materialized.

“Limitless Reversal: Red.”

A turbulent red orb appeared as well. The two orbs pulled each other closer, mixing together and merging into a massive purple ball.

“Limitless Perfection: Hollow… Purple!“

The massive attack launched off his fingers, racing through the abandoned city‘s streets and buildings until it struck Overhaul’s Titan form square in the chest.

“Well… we thought you did… I mean, everyone knows Team Terror” Ochako said, as Deku pulled out his honorary member card and swiped it.

The door clicked open, and Himiko was even more dumbfounded.

”And how… how are YOU in it?!” She asked.

“Became an honorary member when I went Vigilante. Come on, I’ll show you around.“ Izuku said, as the three teens stepped into the club. EDM nightclub music with heavy bass boomed through the halls, and Himiko’s eyes widened when they entered the main lounge, a spacious room with several heroes hanging around.

“Really? Who let Eric pick the music?” Izuku asked.

“He was raising a stink, so we just let him have it for a minute.” A boy Himiko’s age with blonde hair and orange eyes said. “Sup, new girl. Name’s Denji.“

“H-hi, Denji.” Himiko said, feeling a faint pink tinge creep onto her cheeks.

“Hey, Denji! Could you do me a favor and introduce Himiko to all the guys? She wants to get in and get her license.” Izuku asked.

“Sure thing. Come with me. I’ll get you all introduced. Love a new guy, or rather, new girl, joining the party.” Denji said.

Himiko nodded absentmindedly.

”So… how’d your… team… get organized?” She asked slowly as she looked around.

“Oh, Y’know. We’re the heroes who got quirks and stuff that ain’t exactly appealing to most eyes. Take me for example. I pull this cord and turn into a Devil with chainsaws and blood everywhere.” Denji answered.

”Ah… I see. So, who’s on the team?”

“Well, it’s me, Denji.” Denji said, walking around the lounge.

“Then there’s Eric Brooks, aka Blade. He’s a vampire, like you, but he’s a special one. They call him “Daywalker”. He’s chill as long as you’re chill.” Denji said, pointing to an African American man with short hair, red sunglasses, and sharp fangs that protruded from his lips.

“Ok, I think I can do that.“ Himiko said.

“Then over here we have Alucard.” Denji said, pointing to a man wearing a wide red hat, red trench coat, and round sunglasses orange lenses.

“His quirk’s Dhampir. Pretty similar to Eric’s but with a few extra perks.” Denji continued.

Alucard smiled at Himiko and tipped his hat respectfully. Himiko smiled back and waved.

“Next up is Shinra Kusakabe, better known as the Hellfire Hero, Devil’s Footprint. His quirk’s got the same name, and lets him zip around and do some pretty cool stuff.“ Denji said, pointing to a boy also around Himiko’s age, with black hair, bright red eyes, and a devilish grin. Red tattoos that started from his bare feet and trailed up his legs adorned his body.

“Yo, we got a newbie? Sweet!” He said.

“I like him, he seems fun.” Himiko said.

“Lastly, but definitely not leastly, we have Dante, the Scarlet Twin of Sparda.“ Denji said, pointing to a middle aged man with white hair, a red coat, and a white-tan fedora.

“He’s our captain. His quirk gives him a ton of powers, including the ability to summon a ton of sick weapons, from a backpack full of Lazer swords, to a chainsaw motorcycle, and everything in between”

“Hey, new girl! Welcome to the team!” Dante said, standing up and lifting a hand up to pat her on the shoulder.

Himiko flinched, used to years of raised hands falling on her face, hand, and many other places.

“Hey, relax! I’m not gonna hurt ya, alright? We’re all here cuz we’re like you. We’re the guys who got tossed to the side cuz we’re born different, so we stick together. And now, you get to stick with us too.“

Katsuki, in an effort to not let Deku’s new Shoot Style let him edge past the blonde boy, began looking for ways to use his own legs and feet. After all, the soles of his feet were one of his sweatiest regions.

He raced into the school library, searching the web using the school computers for any heroes with fire or Explosion powers who used primarily kick-based fighting style.

After several hours, he found a few promising results. These guys would be it. The Key to staying ahead of Deku. After going around and demanding a ride from several heroes, he finally got a “yes” from Endeavor.

Their first stop was in the far north of Japan, a place called North Blue, where the pro hero Blackleg resided.

“I’ll tell you what you need. A Balanced Diet. All your attacks are some form of “Kill” or “Die”. You wanna beat this “Deku” fella? Mix it up. I’ll teach you my style, but this course is only for professional chefs. Ones who know their way around the kitchen of battle.” Sanji said.

Five days into the Heroes’ siege on the Meta Liberation Army, they’d finally struck gold. A large patrol of heroes had been caught off guard and kidnapped by Chitose Kizuki, also known as Curious. Among them, the hero student Ochako Uraraka. Since the girl‘s quirk relied on her hands to be useful, Chitose had done her a service and burned them so badly the girl couldn’t close them. She proudly presented her work to Re-Destro.

“Look! One down!” She said.

To her surprise, Re Destro was not proud. He was horrified

”You’ve doomed us...” He muttered.

”Huh?” Chitose Asked.

“You’ve Doomed us all, Chitose!”

”What? How? She’s just another hero student brat.”

”This girl is Ochako, she’s Midoriya’s girlfriend. And now that you’ve hurt her, WHO DO YOU THINK HE’LL SEND?!”

“Sir?” Chitose asked. Re-Destro grabbed her shoulders.

“We need to get away from this place NOW!” He shouted, but it was too late.

CRACKLE

The sound of thunder and lightning.

On a clear day.

“We’re Too late.” Re-Destro said

“Too late for what? What happened to your pride?” Chitose asked. Then she saw it. Saw Him

Dark clouds gathered. Thunder roared, lightning crackled.

Then the signature guitar riff of the King of Storms.

In the center of the cloud, there was a face. A prideful face. A grinning face.

Denki Kaminari’s face.

So it turns out Kirishima and Bakugo were born in a whole different class than the rest of 1-A, or rather, a whole different power level.

16 years ago, twin meteorites crashed down on earth, in Musutafu, Japan. Except they were not meteorites at all, but escape pod spacecraft. One belonged to Queen Mitsuki Bakugo of Planet Vegeta, the other hosted Princess Eika Kirishima of the same foreign planet. With them, their two sons, Kakarot Kirishima and Vegeta Bakugo. They donned human names, Eijiro and Katsuki.

How will these two superhumans, no, these two Saiyans react to a world where everyone has strange and unique powers? And what will happen when a third pod hits Japan, carrying in it an infant more Legendary than even those two, a boy adopted by Inko Midoriya, and given the name Izuku.

I’ll admit, I’m a huge sucker for Expectation Subversion, so much so that my largest fic, Life Finds A Way, is largely based on the premise of “Expectation Subversion: No one Expected this to happen”. Here are some of my favorite plot twist tropes

1: Endeavor, instead of understanding his mistakes and atoning, falls further down the rabbit hole and spirals into a Homelander/Syndrome-esque villain arc (I love Endeavor’s redemption story too)

2: Momo being a sleeper agent/backup in case Tomura failed, for All For One, and Creation is the other half of Overhaul (For those who don’t know, Decay is one half of Chisaki’s quirk and we don’t know what AFO did with the other half, the recreation bit)

3: The age old classic, Nana Shimura being Inko Midoriya’s mother (It’s a common trope, but it always makes me smile when I see it)

4: Tomura never killed his parents, they were implanted memories, and the Shimuras are still alive somewhere.

5: Himiko Toga being manipulated like Dabi and Tomura, and hooked on Trigger as a young age, which is what keeps her insane. Her finally snapping out of the craze is when she saves Ochako.

6: Aldera Middle School is a quirk supremacy/ undercover Meta Liberation Army training camp where they condition children for Re-Destro’s army.

What are your favorite Plot Changes or Twists?

With the help of Mei Hatsume’s experimental technology, and what can only be described as ”Hatsu-magic”, She is able to manufacture a prototype device that allows two quirk users to fuse and exponentially increase their power.

The devices come in the shape of two earrings, one to be worn in each participant's ear. Midoriya and Bakugo are the first people to test it during the war against All For One and his army. They were chosen because of their lifelong bond with each other, both good and bad.

Luckily, the fusion worked, and Izuku and Katsuki ascended to a higher level of being. Katzuku, the Angel Born In Hell. The smallest detonation from Katzuku’s palm could level city blocks. One For All’s power had gone beyond its singularity, reaching untold levels of energy.

Every other option had been exhausted. Endeavor was dead, killed by Dabi before the latter burned to ash. Mirko and Hawks had both been taken out of combat, though thankfully they had talked Jin Bubaigawara out of activating his Sad Man’s Death Parade, offering him help for his many troubles. Himiko Toga had swapped sides mid-battle, and fought valiantly against Shigaraki, down one arm but thankfully alive.

It was just All For One versus Katzuku now, and everyone knew exactly how short the fight would be.

“Himiko Toga is in the base?!” Katsuki exclaimed, as Kirishima and Denki ran with him to the passcode protected door down the hallway.

“We need to protect the intelligence!” Katsuki said as they came to the door.

“Yo, a little help?” Denki asked.

“Yeah, yeah, I got it, stand aside, bud.” Katsuki said, tapping the keypad.

”1… 1… 1… and uh, 1!”

Just then, Kirishima came barreling down the hallway.

“INCOMING!” he shouted, ramming through the door.

“AUUUUUGGGHH-Hey, it’s still here!” Denki said, looking at the brief face full of UA’s deepest secrets.

“Ah, alright then.” Kirishima said.

Suddenly, Hagakure, wearing a blue balaclava and matching suit, hoisting one of the other girls, though none of them could see her face, over her shoulder, entered the room.

“Gentlemen.” she said simply. “I see the briefcase is safe and sound“

“Yeah, you bet it is!” Denki said.

Hagakure nodded once. “Tell me. Did anyone happen to find Himiko Toga on their way here? No? Then we still have a problem.”

She laid down the body, revealing it to be Uraraka’s. She was alive, but covered in kiss marks, hickeys, and quivering from head to toe.

“Ooh, big problem. But I’ve taken out dozens of villains like her. She’s just another dime-a-dozen backstabbing scumbag, like you!” Denki quipped.

Hagakure sneered at him. “I assure you, if you managed to capture them, They were nothing like me. And nothing like the woman loosed inside this building!”

”Pfft! What are you, president of her fan club?” Denki asked.

“No… that would be your friend Izuku!” Hagakure said, tossing down a pile of photos depicting Izuku and Himiko snuggling in bed, kissing, and sharing drinks.

“Hey… wha-eh-huh?” Denki stuttered, lost for words.

“Indeed. And now she is here to f*** us! So Listen up, boy! Or explicit imagery of your best friend will be the second worst thing that will happen to you today.“

She took a puff of a fake bubble pipe

“This spy has already breached our defenses. You have seen what she’s done to our colleagues.” She said, gesturing to the photos of Izuku and Ochako’s still violently blushing form.

“And worst of all, she could be in this very room! She could be you! She could be me! She could even be-“

BLAM!

Katsuki blasted her in the face with a concussive explosion.

“What? It was obvious! She’s Himiko Toga! Watch! She’ll turn blonde any second now! Aha! See? Blonde! No wait, that’s just her regular the color in the sunlight.

“So, we still have a problem.” Kirishima said.

“Yep. You ready to go find Toga?” Katsuki asked

Suddenly, Denki’s voice spoke in a sickeningly high pitch.

“Right behind you.”

The titanic villain crossed the gap in only a few steps. Heroes tried to funnel everyone away from the carnage, but the panicked civilians and eager media hordes stampeded through. One girl, young and blonde, was left on the ground by the crowd, just as the giant foot of Mount Lady, a new hero on the scene, crashed down onto the road.

SPLAT!

A splash of dark purple ooze spurted out from under the heroine’s boot

”Oh, God!” Izuku exclaimed, looking over the rail.

”Oh, man, that poor girl!” Kirishima said.

“We should help her, maybe she’s alive!” Izuku said.

“Are you crazy?! That girl was just stepped on by a 70 foot tall woman!” Mina exclaimed.

Regardless, Izuku and Kirishima jumped down to survey the impact.

“I wonder who she was… her parents will be distraught.” Izuku said mournfully.

Suddenly, the purple muck began to ripple, then move suddenly, gathering together as if it was alive. it collected into a tall, amorphous blob, and two pink eyes squelched open.

“Heya! Sorry, did I give you a spook?” A mischievous, high pitched voice coated in a warped, otherworldly sounding filter said from the blob.

Izuku nearly passed out from the shock.

“How are you alive?!” He exclaimed.

”My quirk is Muckshifting. My whole body is basically a non-Newtonian fluid. I can shape myself however I want!” The girl said, before turning back into her human form.

“Like this!“ She continued, her voice lacking the warped filter.

(TLDR: Himiko is a Lenopan from Ben 10)

“WHAAAA! What are you doing in our dorms?!” Deku exclaimed, winding back his fist in preparation for a fight.

“Relax, Midoriya. Himiko Toga is allowed to be here. She had all charges dropped at her latest court appearance, and has been enrolled in the school.” Aizawa said, slurping a juice pouch. “She had a really good lawyer. Someone named… what was it… Hippogryph Left?“

“So, we have to live with her in here… from now on?” Mina asked.

“Correct. Behave, or I’ll suspend you or something.” Aizawa said, before shambling off into the staff room.

“So… you wanna help us cook dinner? You do usually have a lot of knives on your person.” Ochako asked.

“Sure! But I don’t need knives. I’ve gotten really good at cutting.” Himiko said, before swiping her hand across the carrots that rested on the cutting board. In an instant, they sliced apart into small cube shaped sections.

“Whoa, how’d you do that? A sleight of hand knife?” Izuku asked.

Himiko grinned. “I got this real cool power after I ate a few really old fingers wedged in the prison walls in the hopes they’d have some blood in them . Guess it was even better than that.” She said, before doing it again, this time from afar.

“That’s… actually that is a pretty dope quirk.“ Izuku said.

“Yeah, but that’s not it.“ Himiko said, making a triangular hand shape with her hands as a second pair grew out of her body.

“Domain Expansion: Malevolent Shrine.”

I’ve been looking forward to releasing this fanfic for months. I have a storyboard for nearly every arc, planned character development, and done everything I can to make this story enjoyable. I hope you all love it as much as I do.

Izuku Midoriya belongs to one of the most illustrious families in Japan. His grandfather, father, mother, and aunt and uncle on his mother’s side all belong to an elite group of heroes known as The Plumbers, who take on missions even the greatest of Pros don’t.

Of course, this makes it sting all the more when at age four, Izuku is diagnosed as quirkless, unable to manifest one of the billions of fantastic abilities seen around the globe.

Izuku is crushed, as all his former friends slowly drift away, with the exception of his cousin, Mina Hado, and closest friend, Katsuki Bakugo. However, everything Izuku knows and thinks is changed when an alien device attaches itself to his wrist.

The first chapter is out now, as a sort of introduction. The next one is likely coming out tomorrow, so enjoy!

There she was. Toru Hagakure. She was somehow visible, and she had arrived alone. Shigaraki saw her as the weakest member of 1-A. At least the Grape kid could get him stuck for a while.

Yet somehow, for some reason, she foolishly believed that she stood a chance against all 536 quirks in his body. He looked cockily up at her as she floated in the sky, the sun behind her.

“Toru? What, was Uraraka busy?”

“Yes.” Toru replied.

“You CANNOT be serious.” Shigaraki said, stifling a chuckle. “With your strength? Youre not even as powerful as a Support Class, let alone a hero. and you’re certainly not the Ninth. You‘re just a girl.”

“Yeah? Well, you know what?” Toru said, making a triangle with her hands.

“F*ck the Hero Class…”

“Wait…“ Shigaraki said.

“F*ck the Ninth…”

“Don’t you dare…”

”AND F*CK YOUUUUU! SHIIIN…KIKOHOOOOOO

Toru shouted, blasting solar rays down at Shigaraki. As he tried to climb out of the massive crater caused by the blast, she fired again.

“KIKOHOOOO!”

BLAM

“STOP IT!“ Shigaraki shouted

”PLEASE!”

“HOOOOOO!”
