A quick guide to Chia Bomber 2 (+ some gameplay)

I thought this game was supposed to be easy since it’s one of the “Exceptional Eight,” but it’s actually pretty challenging. I spent 3 days and more hours than I should’ve trying to get consistent at it.

Besides the Jellyneo guide, there are a few extra things I noticed that might help if you’re also going for a high score.

Aaaand here’s some gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsNvGc2ExsU

1 - Don’t be afraid of those pesky Chias.
To badly paraphrase Walter White: you are the danger. Once you get used to their movement, you can pressure them a lot more than you’d expect.

2 - If the ball you shot is still visible on screen, you can’t throw another one.
You really need to keep track of this. If your ball is still traveling, don’t just stand there waiting ;3

3 - You can, and should, hold spacebar to keep throwing balls one after another.

4 - Sometimes Chias seem to block balls.
I’m not sure if this is intended or just a glitch, but it happens often enough that I started throwing an extra ball just to make sure they were actually gone lol

5 - Chias seem to have some momentum to their movement.
If they’re already walking in a certain direction, they’ll often keep going that way for a bit. You can make good use of that by stepping into their path and forcing a face-to-face situation. When this happens, they often commit to the duel instead of turning away -> boom.

6 - Stronger Chias feel braver.
Red and black ones, especially, are more willing to accept a direct fight when you’re facing them. Weaker ones feel more erratic and are more likely to run around weirdly.

7 - For most Chias, except black ones, you can camp a corner and kill them pretty safely.
Use this when possible because it’s FAST: at point-blank range, your ball disappears almost instantly, so you can shoot again right away. Just be careful, because sometimes they don’t take the route you expect and you’ll need to react in time.

8 - Chias seem more likely to come toward you when you’re facing away from them, especially if you’re facing a wall.
This can be useful for baiting, but only when there aren’t too many around. If you wait too long, they can pile up and suddenly you’re getting swarmed!

9 - At first I was resetting as soon as I lost a life, but I think this is a bad way to practice.
The game changes a bit once black Chias start showing up, and if you reset too early, you barely get any practice against them. My advice is to keep playing early on even if you die: treat it as matchup/scenario practice.

10 - There’s definitely some RNG in the later stages.
Ideally, you want to avoid crowded areas, and that’s why during this phase I prefer to start at the bottom. But sometimes the game just gives you awful patterns.

The real plan for a perfect score is to get consistent enough that you can clear the early stages quickly, then keep reaching stages 10-12 until you get a run where the RNG is manageable.

That’s it! Thankssss for reading 🤍
