Hi, I am a 22 year old female who is looking to move out of state sometime next year. I would be moving with my boyfriend (24) and no pets or kids. We are both from California and mainly San Diego/ Chula Vista. I have never really moved around much and only recently left home. I am renting in San Diego and for so many reasons I don’t want to stay.
Through my work I am making around 51K a year and that’s pretty consistent state by state give or take 5k. I also have a decent amount of flexibility with states. My boyfriend works as a supervisor at the airport right now but can transfer to other career paths depending on what happens.
With that context I am looking for any advice from people who have more experience than me. I have looked at few states to move specifically Florida, Texas, Georgia. I think there is a goal to buy a home when we move but we would have minimal to no down payment and obviously can’t afford a lot. That cost of living to income ratio is most important for us but we also enjoy access to the ocean. We prefer cold over hot but like all seasons. A bigger city would be nice for social but who knows.
If anyone does respond to this with advice I would be so grateful but I know I gave a lot of info. Thanks in advance.
