Does going to a non - Russell group university limit me from getting training contracts from larger law firms ? for e.g Magic circle so I was thinking of applying to UCL for LLM with a 1st class honours.

Just wondering if i should apply for LLM at UCL next year or spend my time on something else to improve my chance for context I’m in a University thats non-Russell group thats ranked around 20-30th for law . My dream is to get into a law firm such as A&O Shearman.

Anyone else not received confirmation for accommodation place as first year?

Had results days 3 days ago and was wondering when they would email me confirming which accommodation I’ll be in. Maybe because I had Lancaster as my insurance? Has anyone else heard from them.

Should I buy fresher tickets at sugarhouse as first year?

I’ve seen on SU that sugar house has tickets on sale. but I’ve heard you get them free from your college and rep when you arrive.

Why are all the papers harder than previous years?

Like it started in 2025 when it started to get more difficult the questions but papers before 2024 where so much easier. For example alevel biology aqa 2026 and 2025 papers hard before 2024 the questions and figures actually make sense maybe it's because Ive done these questions before but in the actual exam these questions do not look the same.

These exams are so fatiguing

I don't think I have ever felt this fatigued during GCSE after each exam my fatigue and motivation just drops and I don't have the energy to revise. Feels like a mental game right now.

Found paper 1 edexcel math easier than paper 2

I honestly liked paper 1 better paper 2 had so much long algebra that I kept making mistakes on.

Still unhappy about exam

They just had to experiment for this year. So much application for alevel biology aqa for that paper 1 and application is usually my weaker side I can recall knowledge and stuff so much better and I was expecting mostly recall like past exam papers but no they decided to do this now I'm wondering if it will be the same with paper 2 and 3 and there is not enough application question to practice for this so GG guys.

How does it feel knowing you absolutely screwed one of your exams

Yesterday got out of paper 2 for geogrpahy edexcel I don't know if my teachers just didn't prepare us enough but at least 10 people where crying in my school after that geogrpahy exam people someone next to me was even trying to copy me (I didn't know anything I was just waffling). Well I guess I have to pull a miracle for paper 3 now.

Anyone else trying to be invigilator for next year GCSE and A-level for the fun of it.

Might honestly apply to be an invigilator to watch these people suffer lol or actually be somewhat useful because my invigilator they increase my stress level and blood pressure like I'm waiting sometimes a good 2 minutes trying to catch invigilator attention for some extra pages.

Anyone just hit a wall on A-level Maths

Feel like I've slammed into a wall I have all the knowledge an I can confidently do all the questions but the amount of mistakes I might make destroys me like I might accidentally put a minus or forget to add something together like A-level Math if you do the slightest mistake punishes you if you make and your basically sent to the gulag I was getting an E like 2 months ago now getting low A doing past papers but that's because Im use to these questions now because of the amount of times I have done them I have only like 13 days I think till paper 1 don't think I'm going to be able to fix it by that time.

Not gonna lie fall of from year 12 was crazy from A*AA to CCE in year 13 more like academic downfall started crashing out in April but you know I've really just accepted it and I'm basically living with inner peace know I'm not gonna achieve my offers but you know it really is what it is.
