Hi, I’m looking for an old PC game I played somewhere between 2003 and 2008, possibly from a magazine CD (like CD-Action in Poland), but it could have been a small shareware/freeware game.
Core gameplay:
2D side view (platform-like)
The screen auto-scrolled from left to right
A small character was inside a transparent bubble/sphere, almost like they were driving it like a vehicle
The bubble moved automatically — the player did NOT control the character directly
Player controls:
You used the arrow keys to move and rotate blocks on the ground
The goal was to clear or shape the terrain ahead so the bubble could safely pass
Blocks were simple square/rectangular shapes (very basic graphics)
Game mechanics:
If the terrain/blocks were too high or badly arranged, the bubble would hit them and pop (break) → game over
The bubble could jump slightly (or bounce), and made a distinct sound when jumping
When it popped, there was also a very characteristic sound effect
The game gradually became faster and more difficult over time (arcade/survival style)
Visual style / theme:
Graphics were simple, possibly low-budget / indie / shareware style
Background might have been dark/space-like with stars, which made me think it was set in space
The character inside the bubble might have looked a bit like a small creature/alien (not 100% sure)
Other notes:
It was NOT a typical platformer — more like a mix of puzzle + auto-runner
The key idea was: you don’t control the character, you manipulate the world in real time
It may have been a very obscure or bonus game, not a well-known commercial title
I’ve attached a veryyyyy simple drawing from memory to illustrate the concept.
Does anyone recognize this game?
