Is this what an episode feels like?

Thursday morning I woke up at my usual time to get my son ready for school. I noticed when I made his lunch I kinda stumbled to the side (or it at least felt like I did). I was like.. that’s weird what was that? I went and sat down, a little worried. I felt fine so I got up and again and OMG.

Within seconds I felt like my body was collapsing from underneath me and I felt like I was stumbling around like crazy but I’m not even sure if I was moving. It then kinda felt like either my eyes were rolling around and I got a super weird feeling like I was going to pass out or die. It was TERRIFYING. I yelled out for my husband to call an ambulance. I fell back on my couch, and it went away after a few seconds that felt like an eternity.

I was able to stand and walk to the car and go to the ER. The doctor said it sounded like BPPV, did the eye test but NOT the maneuver, and couldn’t distinguish which side. He gave me a script of meclizine and told me to follow up with my primary care doctor within the week. I see him next Wednesday. I keep seeing these posts and I’m starting to wonder if this sounds similar or do I need to dig deeper into the cause of this? I’m so scared this is going to happen again.
