Fearmongering and condemning the entire state of Tamil Nadu to decline simply because the party you supported did not succeed at this stage serves no meaningful purpose. The people have cast their votes, and the outcome has been decided—there is nothing to be changed now. Those who are now speaking as if they are more informed or intellectually superior should have made these arguments earlier, before the elections, and effectively communicated the achievements of the previous government to earn public support. Instead, they believed that GDP growth statistics and GER alone would be enough to secure victory, while ignoring fundamental issues such as law and order, unaccountable ministers engaging in misconduct, and corruption

The voters who chose TVK are not outsiders they are our friends, family members, and neighbors. Dismissing or blaming them only reflects a failure to understand and engage with the public. What truly happened is that many underestimated people's awareness and sentiment. There was an assumption that long established parties, with decades of presence, could not be challenged regardless of their performance. That complacency proved costly TVK, as a new face, offered people a sense of hope and change. They consistently highlighted the shortcomings of the ruling government and presented their own vision, which resonated with voters. People noticed, connected with that message, and made their choice accordingly.

Now that he is set to become Chief Minister, the reasonable approach is to let his government take office and evaluate its performance over time rather than spreading fear or attacking those who voted for him

We should take this as a positive sign that people are aware and willing to act when they feel ignored by a ruling government. It shows that voters are open to change, whether the alternative is a party that's 70 years old, 50 years old, or even just a couple of years old.

Hopefully, Vijay_ recognizes this responsibility and the expectations that come with it. That awareness should push him to govern effectively and move the state forward, rather than allowing it to fall behind
