Fascinating interview on the gospel of John with Dr Mendez

Wanted to share a really fascinating interview with a Dr Hugo Mendez, a scholar specialising in the gospel of John. One reason why I think this is very fascinating, maybe especially in the ex-jw community, is that i think John is a really fascinating gospel where none of the Christian traditions I'm personally familiar with really pick up on some of the "weirder" features of the gospel.

To very briefly present the two viewpoints I'm personally cognizant of, JWs basically go as far as they can to deny the divinity of Jesus while mainstream Nicean Christians find the trinity. I think for both of these camps their particular lenses of interpretation and reading get ingrained so early that it can be hard to step out of it. And neither traditions, I think, fully reckon with the oneness Jesus talks about his followers receiving.
