Is it possible for ANT's playing style to win an MVP?
I fully believe he has the talent to win an MVP but maybe not the play style. It seems like times have changed from the 90s and early 2000's. A high scoring guard with little assist numbers are going to have a hard time competing with centers averaging a triple double. Even considering other guards, SGA averaged twice as many assists as ANT did this year. The point of my post if based off a purely numbers standpoint I just don't think ANT can keep up. Sure he could average 35 ppg, but I'm not seeing him average more than 5 assists a game. And with that I don't think it would put him in the running. The only way I could see it is if he went nuclear on defense and made a 1st or 2nd all defensive team.
