Hey I’m a 19 year old eastern shore 6’2 1/2 180 pound guy, and I really want to get into surfing, I’ve had about as much fun as you can have with boogie boarding and body surfing, but I really want to go beyond that. I know density of the board is important, and I’m also a very large person aparently according to surfing standards, so I don’t know exactly what board would be best for me. Preferably in the more affordable range of surfboards.

I also live in Virginia, so none of the waves I’ll be catching will be that large. Just something to really break into the hobby and have fun.
